Episode 12 of the Paddock Pass Podcast is out, and in this episode, MotoMatters.com's own David Emmett talks about the Jerez World Superbike and MotoGP tests with top photographer Tony Goldsmith and brainy young journalist Neil Morrison. Both Tony and Neil were actually present at the tests, and they talk about what they saw out on track. We also discuss the difficulties Honda and Aprilia seem to have adapting to the new electronics, and contrast it with how well Ducati are doing. We also take a look at the progress being made by Michelin on their new tires.

It wasn't just MotoGP at Jerez, of course. The World Superbike riders were also there, and we ponder the seeming superiority of the Kawasakis, and look at how Nicky Hayden fared on his switch to WSBK.

We also do a quick review of the KTM test at Valencia, and ponder the difficulties faced by the Austrian factory in the run up to their return in 2017. We talk about the relative merits of the trellis frame, and contrast their Moto3 bikes with MotoGP.
