Some cooler weather is coming, so in anticipation of the chance I won't be riding as much, I flushed some gasoline though the carbs today. Do do this I rode on twisty country roads for about 50 miles, in the 72 degree sunny weather.

Nice top case idea, Bob. I normally keep a tail bag on the back of the seat, but obviously the case has about ten times the capacity.

Very pretty bike!

Me, I looked longingly at her and then drove the car to work. Supposed to rain here today, timing uncertain, and I did get a little bit on my way in so it's good that I did drive. Will be back on her soon enough, and she did get to play the last 3 days.

Rode the V to work today. It was 44F when I left he house to head in. With my current gear about 40F is the limit for the 45 min commute lol.

Thank you! I just ordered my tube from the link. Looking forward to your blog post.

I got a lot planned for my bike over the next cold winter months. Gonna repaint the whole thing! Maybe some airbrushing

Do you know what the turn amount is? All R6 tubes are not the same.

Not really. At first I though I had reduced it to 25% of stock. Then I realized I needed to adjust the throttle cable as the bike wouldn't start since the throttle was half open. After adjusting the throttle, the new throttle tube reduced the turn by enough that I didn't have to adjust my wrist position on full throttle acceleration today at the Katy track. I wish it was better, but for the money I'm happy I did it.

Replaced the clutch cable. I didn't pay close enough attention when I first installed the aftermarket levers, and missed that the cable was rubbing. Figured it out when I had to clutchless shift my way home.

On the upsides, I found out the lazy man's approach to cable replacement does work on the 300. I just duct taped the new cable end to end with the old one, and pulled it right through. No fairing disassembly required.

The ninjette hadn't turned a wheel in several months, but I fixed that today. Battery tender last night, refilled it with gas and aired up the tires today, and went on down the road for a little while.

She made it out of the garage and onto the street for the first time in a month. It was a beautiful day, and my friend wanted to go for a ride and wanted company. She was grumpy starting, I'm guessing the fuel evaporated out of the carbs, but she started, and I let her warm up and we were off.

Started stripping her down for her newgen engine swap

Mostly disconnected, just need to double check everything is drained and all the electrical is off. I'm okay with this progress for starting after a long day at work.

Slowly, but surely, I'm doing fiberglass bodywork prep for next season on the trackbike. Trimmed down the tail section and fixed some cut outs. Next up this week is to do some patchwork.

Rode it to work for the first time this year. Felt good, been awhile since I commuted to work in February. Just need to take it easy and watch out for all the gravel/shale

My dead Ninja has finally come back to life, thanks to a crafty wiring expert who fixed my botched up wiring harness. Looking forward to having it all buttoned down and back on the track for some fun times!

Got the bike out this weekend. Started right up and runs good. Doing some maintenance checks and seems there might be a faint coolant leak or something fishy going on in the cooling system. Seems to only happen when the bike is Hot. Checked the coolant level and we are at Low level when the bike is cool, but there seems to be some residue of the coolant around a couple of the hoses. All the hose clamps seem good and fixed. Going to check if the fan is working. Past this issue it all checks out and seems good.

Going to dig into this issue and see a resolution before I take the bike on it's daily commutes for the season.
