Light Issue
Hi folks,
New to the forum. I purchased a 2008 Ninja 250ex from a guy last year (A frankenbike of sorts). He modified it to look like a scrambler, I am in the process of turning it into a cafe racer. He installed new integrated signals on the bike and I had to re wire the back lights during the process of adding a new seat/rear cowl to the bike. Long story short here is my issue: I've reconnected the rear wires correctly. Turn signals work, running light works, brakes lights work.Upfront the headlight works as do the signals but only when the key is in the on position and the bike is not running. When I start the bike, and apply the brakes or use the turn signals, both front and back signals go nuts. I'm pretty sure there is a short somewhere but I've had a good look at the entire loom and it is in good shape. I have all wiring diagrams and have consulted. I can't figure out why it works properly when the bike isn't running and goes nuts when the bike is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sean |
