Passed. UGH

Some douche passed me on a double solid line, and it caught me off guard when he slammed on his brakes immediately after he did that. I couldn't swerve to the left of him because of oncoming traffic so I had to go to the right jump the curb and come pretty close to being part of a tree. I was doing about 40 when i hopped the curb, and my bike was stalled when i stopped. Thankfully i kept the bike up when i was driving through bushes and debris. The guy left after a few seconds. I guess I was lucky that day.

No damage to the bike but my confidence was shaken up.

This, one thousand times this. Get the bastard's plate from footage and report it with the video.

On a side not, whenever somebody lane changes in front of me whether I was expecting it or not I slightly roll off the throttle and get ready to brake just for these reasons.

Hope that guy/girl gets cancer and dies a slow, painful death.
Glad you're okay!

Yeah my next investment is a gopro. I have always wanted one but $300 is alot foe a camera that can be dropped at 65mph onto the road.

might prevent your insurance going up, when they find you at fault,
due to lack of evidence, and witnesses....

Why $300? The white is $200 and more than enough for the purposes of recording your actions. You only NEED the silver and black if you plan to use it's extra functions.

Also, when mounted they are in a solid plastic housing. And if mounted properly should not ever fall off what you have it on. Your best chance of it falling off is if you fell and the mount for your camera makes contact with something else and it rips it off in which case the camera will probably roll down the road or into the grass somewhere with scratches on the housing.

i forgot to mention my first crash was like yours except my bike was totalled and i was found at fault.

my rise in insurance costs were more than the camera.
