Cool Sun on his back, left turner ahead

The accident happened during the first 20 seconds of the first vid; nothing is seen after that:

I don't even think he hit the brakes. He hit the horn and yelled though.

Very helpful.

That did look like he had a fighting chance of avoiding it. Dumbass car - no doubt. But still....

I feel like he had time to stop had he been prepared. It is pretty common to see this. Idk, I wasn't riding so I could be mistaken but I feel like the collision was avoidable... Then point an honk after wards. But like I said I wasn't riding so who knows. My opinion maybe different if I were there.

he could have done so many things. stopped. avoided the car. turned around and gone the other direction. but instead he chose to drive directly into the car.

That's the way I see it too. The video shows that the car was slowly rolling into the rider's lane. If that didn't make the rider take evasive action, I don't know what would.

Car inches forward multiple times, he was obviously undecided if he should go and made a last minute decision to. If the biker was aware he could have avoided it. Still the Cars fault ,but the rider should have seen that coming and made a better choice.

Maryland has The doctrine of the "last clear chance". I haven't checked into North Carolina, where I live now. But it means that the rider in this case could possibly be found to be negligent, and have fault in causing the accident, because he could have prevented it from happening.

The rider was also busy waving his clutch hand, moving his head and talking to the camera.

Maybe if he had been focused on the task at hand, he could have seen it and stopped in time. Just another form of distracted driving.....
