Didn't do all this today, I've just been busy and haven't posted a lot.
1. Shimmed the carbs (two #4 washers worked perfectly for me)
2. Swapped the rear shock to a 2010
3. Replaced my rear caliper, flushed and filled fluid on both brakes.
4. New chain and sprocket set

Bike runs better than ever

Gave it a nice 90 mile commute to work today. It was a really nice morning of high 60's.
On the way home had a lot of fun riding with a random SV650 on the freeway. Filled her up with gas and went home. Gotta make sure to check my tire pressure and chain slack soon.

Come to CA! 91* today, and enough bikes out to make cars feel awkward.

I get excited (and a little jealous) whenever a bike passes by while I drive the car haha. The large number of bikes out makes my car ride slightly more enjoyable

Pretty much, just trying to get the suspension track ready, so it's getting the whole shazam from gold valves to correct spring rates... Problem is I spend more time modding my bike than actually riding it... lol Just waiting for the oil now so I can put it back together.

I got to ride my bike to work a few times this week (90 mile commute here too) and yesterday was definitely warm! Didn't have to wear any of my linings to work and as long as I kept moving, back home was fine, but still warm!

No bike today, as I got to drive the Mustang around and show her some love too...

Trying to resolve this valve tapping sound I am having. Wondering if it is possible my CCT is bad or m chain is really stretched.

I hate the fact that you have to split the cases to replace the chain.

Installed new breather filter for the crankcase

Removed and took apart my 4 piece exhaust in search of exhaust leak. Think i found one put new gaskets to the engine and used some exhaust leak sealer on the joints in hopes of rectifying some of my exhaust popping/backfiring issues.

Will rejet hopefully tomorrow evening if my jets come in.

I am not having any luck here. Checked valve clearance on B motor and there's a chip on the leftmost exhaust can lobe. I am also seeing some pitting on the bearing surface on the cam covers. Draining the oil was more like pouring gas out... Will hopefully have it started tonight,

Mounted adjustable brake and clutch levers...getting the clutch lever closer in is particularly beneficial on the new 300 due to the short engagement at the far end. Riders with smaller hands would really benefit. Plus they are a huge step up in quality from the stock levers. The stock levers must cost Kawi about $1.50 each...............

Sucked trying to mount the motor last night. For some reason, I couldn't swing the motor into position with the front engine bolt in so I opted to lift the motor up into position with a ratchet strap. Flushed the coolant and rejetted my old carbs for this motor. I also swapped out the stock sprocket for my 15t for a pre-gen. Primed the carbs and she started! I'll be cleaning up the bike to get her back on the road again. May swap the GSXR shock in if I have the time.

Going to give it a nice hard ride tonight, since it's getting a new sibling on Saturday. I probably won't be using the 250 that much for the coming months

Installed a fuel filter, new hose and clamps on my GF's bike. Sliced my finger pretty bad with a razor in the process trying to get the old sticky hose off.

My PIRELLI Diablo Scooter rear tire arrived last night and had it mounted at a new shop BHP Motorsports for $15. Clean and re-greased all bearings/seals, lubed chain then took it around the block. Rear end felt stiffer. I'll put a lil time on it on my way to work later today. Can't wait to get the front done so I can feel comfortable pushin the twisties!

@kirk595x, nice on the tires! Get that front one on when you can. I've had a great experience with my Diablo Scoots. They feel just like the stockers in terms of weight, but they're better in every aspect (except maybe longevity of tread, but I'm not worried about that) and feel very nice all the way to the edge.

I've been pushing it safety wise with the stockers....I really hav'nt been able to enjoy my bikes cornering ability cause I know the Dunlops will probly leave me on the ground...hopefully another week I can get the front Diablo. Whats weird is I got the stock size diablo but the back end feels like sits higher?? Definitely feels more stiffer/planted in the back. Down the road I'll get maybe a 500 or new gen shock and go up one size on the rear.
