I need help replacing my turn signal on my ninjette!

Can someone please guide me through this??
I need to replace bother front turn signals.. i have no idea where to begin.. i already bought the new pods.. but how do i remove the old ones???
DO i HAVE to remove the side fairings?? is there any easier way to do this??

From the DIY on installing LED front signals:

1. Remove the fairings. Please refer to this thread.

2. Remove the OEM turn signal. It's just one screw. The screw is located on the back side of the blinker inside the blinker well. You might also want to break this screw loose before removing the fairing. I have a JIS #3 driver that I used. You can get away with a phillips #2. Here's a picture to give you an idea where it is: (taken from the DIY flushmounts thread)

i was told there is an easier way to do it without removing the fairings.. just the black plastic housing around the headlights.. is this true?

Gotta remove side fairings to remove the front housing.
At least without making it very difficult and maybe breaking some tabs.

I replaced my front left yesterday without removing the fairing.

Tools required:
1 Phillips Head Screwdriver
1 Girly left arm

Didn't find it too difficult to do it all blindly and through the small gaps on the side.

Whew! I have to replace one tonight and I'm glad I have girly arms, because I'm really not wanting to take the fairing off.

Be careful on replacing it if you don't remove the fairing. I just installed some LED flushmounts for one of the locals here last saturday on his 2011 and the screw/bolt was stuck. I had to get some pliers and have him hold it while I broke it loose. If yours just turns and turns and doesn't seem like it's loosening, it's likely twisting the rubber grommet, rear plate, and wiring. I don't understand the fear of removing fairings.

Here's a rule of thumb, if you take off all the bolts and clips and you think it's ready to come off, then wiggle it loose. It should come off pretty easily. If for any reason it feels like it's caught on something, you missed a clip or bolt. The fairings won't just drop off the bike once all the bolts are off. They're held in place by slots as well. Take your time and give yourself plenty of time and work space. Don't be scared of working on your bike!

I dunno why people act like you can't remove the leads from the bulb socket/reflector/collector.

Assuming that you are replacing it with an identical OEM part, here are the steps:
Unscrew and remove the lens
Lift the collector out of the plastic shroud
Disconnect the blade terminals from the back of the collector/socket
Remove the housing (the collector is what held the housing to the stalk)
Bend the connectors to straighten them (you may not have to do this if you aren't replacing the stalk)
Unscrew the stalk
Thread the wires and straightened terminals through the stalk
Thread them back through the new stalk
Place the new housing on the stalk with the wires threaded through
Bend the connectors to angle them again
Attach blade connectors to the new collector/socket (slightly longer green wire goes to the outer terminal but polarity doesn't really matter)
Transfer the bulb from the old socket*
Align the lens and screw it down

You're done. The only other thing to mind is that the left and right blinker housings are different in that they both have a drainage hole that should face down. It is only the housings, so everything else is interchangable. You can use a right-rear housing on the front-left or a left-rear housing on the front-right and the holes will face down.

*This can be more difficult than it looks. You are supposed to push down and turn counter/anti-clockwise and lift but one of mine could not turn due to excess plastic

I should mention that one of my rear signal stalks would not come out gracefully recently. The plate it threads into would just spin and tear at the sleeve covering the wires behind it. This isn't an issue if you are reusing your stalks.
