I might try to watch the midnight showing of that tonight. On fandago it shows 102 people voted "I'm in" and 4 voted "I'll pass". The twitter feed shows 96% positive feedback on it. So you, me and thousands more already like this movie and plan to watch it.

UPDATE:

Went and saw the midnight showing of this movie like I said I would. This is a MUST SEE movie. Having some knowledge of the weapons in action, used a few of them, and seeing training footage of the weapons in action I can safely say that Hollywood did not ramp up things for the sake of movie making. They kept it as real as possible this time. It's amazing to think that all these main characters are real active duty Navy Seals. They did one hell of a job on this movie. The action is just amazing, the tactics used are mind blowing, and the ending will tug at your heart strings.

In looking more into it, it would seem there is a reason why the action scenes seem more realistic. They are real, they did a number of the scenes (the boat weapons fire scene) using live ammo on a SEAL team live training ground. That is what a Dillan (the mini-guns being used) looks and sounds like, not movie enhanced.

I will say this. If you are going there expecting to see Hollywood acting at it's finest, you will be disappointed. These guys are not actors, so of course they are not the greatest on screen trying doing the in-between action parts. The rest is done just how they would in the field, the movements, the cover fire, the communication, the briefings, etc etc. So keep that in mind when you go see it. You are watching more of a documentary on Navy Seal tactics using fictional scenarios.

It really is especially knowing these are actual Seals playing the parts.

The wife and I went to the Movie Tavern last night and watched "Wanderlust" what contrast huh?
