need help with install Koso DL spedometer!

Alright When I bought my ninja it had no instrument panel but I figured I could just get one.

This is the one I got and it just came in today.

http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/new/...ometer-55mm-4/

Right off the bat I'm confused (I'm a total newb to motorcycles).
these are the instructions, however I have questions on the wiring.

http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/inst...s/BB552B70.pdf

Does the red connect directly over the positive terminal of the battery?
Where do I find the wire for the fuel gauge?
How exactly do I connect the brown wire to the ignition key?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Here's an actual pic of wires on the speedo if it helps.

Hi - have you reviewed the Koso threads on this site already?

Here's one from the DIY sticky thread at the top of the tech section:

ahh yes, I did. That actually answered my first question. But in that case the used a plug and play kit for the specific speedo. From the looks of it I need to do some splicing for the green fuel wire, except I'm not sure where. And I still have how to wire the brown wire to the ignition.

So I did a bit of looking in the wiring diagram and figured out all my questions except for one.

how to do connect the brown wire to the ignition(which is need according the the instructions?)

the red must go directly to the battery's positive terminal, the green and black require splicing on the bikes harness and connected to the light green/black wire and black/yellow wire (respectively), and the brown goes to the ignition, but I'm not sure how? which color wire do I connect it to? The instructions also say that the red and brown wires must not be in parallel.

I installed a similar gauge (made by koso) and it died a couple months back. I hope yours last longer.

In regards to the brown wire, just tap it off the low beam head light or run an extension and connect it to the license plate light. You don't need to attach it to the ignition wire, just a wire that is +12v only when the engine is on. Use a wire tap and it shouldn't take very long.
