The first gen is about 27mm the new ninja is about 24 mm . And they have a different flange arrangement. I adapted a first gen exhaust to my new ninja after head porting. The new ninja has smaller valves also.

i didnt mean switching the header. Id keep the old 250 header then cut a piece off the old 250 exhaust and weld it to the bottom of the header to extend it then add the dan moto to that.
So i guess i need to find out the diameter of the dan moto connecting peice and the diameter of my chopped and welded part

If you can weld and chop you will not have any problems . The pipes are close enough and you can make adapters.

Sweet thats what i was thinking i mean two bros is looking like 400 bucks and dan moto 80x2 cans 160 ... plus a bit of chopping and welding good thing i learned to GTAW weld

now do i go with the carbon gp or the gp extreme.. I saw a gp extreme on youtube and it was crazy loud.. having 2 might get me some tickets lol
or would 2 exhaust reduce noise because its split between the two?

I made a 2-1 header with the carbon DanMoto and its not bad with the DBkiller installed. Its still loud but not really any louder than most street bikes with aftermarket exhaust.

If you're buying new cans for ~$160 you can find a used muzzy or kerker full 2-1 system on eBay for about the same price. I got a super clean muzzy for $180.

Colin I've been unable to ever find a used muzzy for a decent (aroud $200) price on ebay for the life of me. Next time you see one, pm me asap pretty please.

I'll keep a lookout. I was only looking for about a week when it popped up? Maybe it was just dumb luck.
