Great looking bike. I love what looks like a tripple headlight.

Its priced at £3999 in this neck of the woods which is intresting as it undercuts the Yamaha YZF R125, which incidentally was the best selling 125 last year so Aprilia have been doing their homework! Its 15bhp to meet with licence laws over here so basing it on the Yamaha I had I reckon at best it will be good for 85mph indicated.

Plus it's just their first stab at small 4's, a 250 and either 350 or 500 are already in R&D.

Well actually from what I can tell, we're getting the rs4 125, which is a different bike. (four-stroke, for one) So I'm not sure if that'll be street legal or not, but it probably shouldn't be!

Not true. I know for a fact that these can be plated and run legally in the U.S. It may vary state to state but I know they are steetable in Va.

Sure its expensive, but we have guys here that pay $5K OTD on a 375lb bike with 25 hp. This is a bike 100 lbs lighter with about 3-5 more hp.

The only down side that I see is that 2 stroke motors are harder to care for. Otherwise, I wouldnt mind whipping one of these around for a ride or two.

It may last a month, a year, or five, or forever in California just depends on how long before the MVD catches wind.

Americans are born and bred on 4-stroke street bikes. The smaller a 2-stroke roadbike, the quicker we'd blow it up, this after the cost issue which in itself is insane. If the KTM were coming they'd be here by now so give up if you're waiting.

I went and sat on one of these neat little buggers the other day whilst I was browsing for a new set of wheels.

All I can say is that in person this is just one cool ass little bike. Not too small, and it looks like it would rip. Pretty comfy considering. If I didn't plan on keeping my 250 for the wife then I would probably spit the 5K for one of these to beat on the track. Hell, who knows, in the next few years I just might.

BTW they had it sitting in the company of the CBR1KRR's, an RC8, and 3 Daytona 675's and this little guy fit right in. If you didn't know any better you would assume stupid fast and stupid expensive.
