[motorcycle.com] - Arch Motorcycles For 2018

We were so busy running around EICMA making silver screen magic with our own videos, we didn’t even have time to stop by actual movie star Keanu Reeves’ Arch Motorcycles display. Which is a damn shame, because you know that’s where all the cool people were and we could’ve maybe discussed our craft. It’s also a shame because Arch had two new models on display.

The Method 143, in the lead photo and here, uses a carbon fiber “mono-cell chassis” and a “layering design concept” – along with plenty of *leather, carbon fiber and artfully crafted CNC machined aluminum. Main attractions include:
  • 143 cubic inch, 2343cc engine
  • ARCH designed, Suter Industries manufactured CNC machined aluminum single-sided swingarm with carbon fiber cover.
  • CNC machined aluminum bodywork with integrated layered leather seat
  • ARCH designed mobile phone dash display
  • Proprietary Öhlins FGRT series front fork with carbon fiber air-foil
  • MotoGP inspired, full titanium/carbon fiber exhaust system
  • ARCH designed BST carbon fiber turbine wheels
The Method 143’s release date and price have yet to be announced, but you better get your order in ASAP as production will be limited to 23 units.

The 1S, below,*is*an evolution of Arch’s original KRGT-1. In addition to having a new, single-sided swingarm, this one enforces a more aggressive riding position “while still keeping hold of its performance cruiser formulation.”

There’s plenty of machined aluminum and carbon fiber here, too, on what Arch calls a race inspired motorcycle. Pricing and release date for the 1S are also as yet unavailable.

Arch 1S:
  • 124 cubic inch, 2032cc American V-Twin engine
  • CNC machined aluminum back-bone and sub-frame
  • Newly designed CNC machined aluminum and carbon fiber fuel tank with integrated fuel filler enclosure
  • Carbon fiber 7 spoke BST wheels
  • ABS optional – Euro 4 compliant
  • Production release date and pricing to be announced

Meanwhile, the original KRGT-1 returns with ergonomic enhancements to the bodywork, updated front suspension, upgraded brakes with optional ABS and EURO 4 compliance. That’s important. As part of its new partnership with Suter Industries, Arch will now market its bikes in Europe.
  • 124 cubic inch, 2032cc American V-Twin engine
  • Steel frame with CNC machined aluminum sub-frame
  • New Öhlins FGRT series fork and ARCH proprietary rear shock
  • BST carbon fiber 5 spoke wheels
  • Forward control/mid control options available
  • Custom fit and finish per client
  • Releasing early 2018
