Tanks for your help!

I'm pretty sure I know the answer but thought I'd best check with the ninjette brain trust!

I bought a spare gas tank with a big dent. The purpose is to use it as the race bike gas tank. I had the dent fixed and the tank painted. All is good to go!

But....

I only realized now there is only one overflow drain outlet on my track tank (black) but two on my OEM tank (red). It appears both outlets on the red tank are collected in common via the white plastic "minitank" so it shouldn't be a problem to just plug the single hose onto the single fitting. Or will there be a complication I am not aware of such as a tank vacuum or pressure vent release that will now not function? Is there a specific gas cap that differs from the two orifice tank cap? I've scanned the fiches from 2006-2012 but there is no drawing that shows a single orifice tank!

It is for track/racing so I have no problem brazing/modifying the tank as needed to make it work if there is an issue.

What sage advice does the ninjette collective have to offer?

That's the weirdest CA tank if it is one. Mine, which is a CA version (stupid CARB canister and all), has three outlets.

I looked again through several different catalog sites from 2008-2012 ninjas, regular, California and Asian but could not find any that illustrate a single vent port!
Still though I'm confident it's not an issue just plugging in the single vent hose as is. I'll set it up & check it well before first track day!
