Trickle chargers can take 24 hours or more to get a battery up to full capacity, sure you don't want to just wait a day and see what happens?

personally, I'd charge it for a day to see if that fixes it first before spending $140 on a new battery.

so i took it off the charger in the morning... right after i took it off the charge was 12.8 and i checkd the charge an hour later it droped down to 12.47 and then after 3-4 hours the charge is now 12.36. soo what is the fate of the battery? keep charging? or time to bring in the new kid. i charged it yesterday for about 5 hours and then took it off and then charged it again for about 6 hours or so.

sounds like it's toast to me. Did you stick it in the bike and try it? are you sure your charger is working properly?
if you're looking for a cheaper alternative, Walmart sometimes have these batteries. don't know if you have walmarts there, though. |

well, hopefully you won't have any more battery problems for a couple of years.
lol... after posting yesterday, I went out and my dirt bike wouldn't start. Ended up changing the battery in it. It just went w/o notice and no amount of charging brought it back. guess it must be that time of the year or somethin'. |
