My Ninja 250 Mods....

Hello Everyone,

Since I'm almost complete with my mods, I'd thought I'd post some pics of what I've done so far. Pretty happy with all of my results!

Added PUIG Dark Smoke Windscreen

Added 6000K HIDs in both the low and high beams

Installed Projekt D Fender Eliminator Kit

Installed Black Rear Spools

Did the Diode Mod

Installed Proton Flush Mount Turn Signals and replaced rear turn signals bulbs with LEDs. (Everything, with the exception of the tail light, has LEDs, including the dash and indicators)

Changed the Fairing bolts to color match the bike

I took the red reflectors off the back stock fender and swapped them with the amber ones that were in the front. I hated the orange against the red and black color scheme.

Installed Keiti Tribal Tank Pad

Had it lowered with a Roaring Toyz Lowering Kit

(These will be reversed tomorrow so the text is upright)

And just installed today... Two Brothers Black Series Slip-On Exhaust with Red P1 Silencer and Red anodized Bolts

Before Silencer and Bolts...

After...

Exhaust Video:

Link to original page on YouTube.

How it looks now...

Me Riding...

Future mods/ideas:

- Shogun Frame Sliders (already installed)
- Shinto Black Painted Rear Fender (still waiting to be shipped)
- Shinto Black OEM Cowl (still waiting to be shipped)
- Smoke Bike Monkey Integrated LED Tail Light (Ended up with the clear lens, got a really good price on it)
- Rejet bike

Very very nice! What type of hid kit is that and do you mind sharing how much you got the ninja 250 special edition for otd? Love the black series!

Thanks for all the comments everyone.

@airmax I got the HID kits off of ddmtuning.com. Their kits are very reasonably priced and have lifetime warranty. I used them for my car and also on my husbands gsxr 750.

As for the cost of the Ninja, I got it for $4500 OTD. That was back in May. I'm sure they're cheaper now that they have the 2011s out.

In the video the exhaust sounds almost the same with or without the silencer. Is there much difference in loudness?

@ Bill

There isn't really much of a difference with or without the silencer. Two brothers sells two other types of silencers that are supposed to reduce more db's, but they come in gold only. So I went for the P1 since you can choose the color you want for that one. It's loud, but I like it! Funner to ride that way.

Lookin' very good. Red and black's not my favorite color, but if I keep seeing bikes like that, I may come 'round. Mind sharing your source for the LED dash lighting? I'm not a fan of the yellow bleed-through from the stock incandescents.

Is that a Tacoma I see in the background? Just bought one myself and loving it, especially in comparison to my old truck (a 1989 Ranger that's held together with duct tape and prayers)

Thanks Everyone for your positive comments on my bike. It's been expensive, but I'm happy with the way it's turned out so far.

@ Momaru: I buy all of my leds from www.v-leds.com. Our dashes use 194 bulbs, so you can buy any color and stick it in there. Mine are 6K White. They are pretty bright in the dark. My husband says they're too bright, but I like the way it looks. These are the exact ones I got. If you join their facebook, they occassional post coupon codes, so it comes out cheaper. V-leds is a little bit more compared to other retailers, but I think you pay for quality and their leds are top notch. I have led lighting all over my car, and they haven't done me wrong yet.

http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...-p6478377.html

FYI: I changed the turn sign indicator also, and that doesn't blink as well as it used to with a regular bub. It blinks, but seems like there's some hesitation to it.

Also, that is a Tacoma in the background. It belongs to my cousin though. We have a Chevy Silverado.

The red ones I got on ebay. Here's a listing similar to it. I don't recall what I paid for them.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Red-W...item43a36d06aa

As for the black ones, I got a kit from www.bikebolts.com

Thanks a bunch!

By "indicator" I'm assuming you mean the bulbs in the housing? If you want to correct the hesitation in the 'blink,' you may need to replace your turn signal relay with one that's designed to work properly with the reduced resistance/power load from the LEDs. I'm currently using the CF12ANL-01 from SuperBrightLEDs with my all-LED turn signal system and have been quite satisfied. Like your supplier, they're a little expensive, but have done right by me.

Nah, I was talking about the green indicator on the dash that blinks when you have your turn signals on. I changed that to an led and when it blinks, it doesn't turn off all the way.

I got the led flasher relay covered already. Thanks for looking out though.

Haha, oops, my bad. Glad you're so on top of things though. Had so many people asking me for help troubleshooting turn signal issues of late, guess it's become a 'standard reply'

Yeah, I've read many of your posts regarding it. Once I get my bike monkey tail light, I'll have the same setup as you. I'm hoping all goes well with my current relay, otherwise, I will be buying the one you recommended.

Are you talking about spinning the bike on the kickstand? I'm not strong enough to do that myself anyways, so no worries for me regarding that. My husband usually handles that if needed, but we haven't actually tried it since getting the new kickstand put on. I know there are others with this kickstand. Wonder how their experiences have been?

Got some updated pics.

Got my Shogun Frame Sliders on.

Added some Ninjette.org decals to the bottom. Compliments of CThunder-Blue.

And got a new sticker for my windscreen.

I think you can do it, it's more technique than strength. I'm not really a muscular guy myself, but found it to be pretty easy when I was showed the proper way.

your bike pretty much looks like how i would envision my bike to be set up if I still had mine. nice job
