Captain's Log 11-25-13
Rode from Tempe to Scottsdale on order of my business partner today. Journey was uneventful other than that I noticed I've made significant progress in a few of areas.
Number one: I'm wringing Pickles out whenever there is nothing in front of me, and I have no fear of leaning but haven't quite mastered the mating of the throttle/lean ratio yet. Note to captain--need more power but restrain yourself for you do not yet understand the power of the force. Number dos: Pickles runs best with idle set to about 1.85rpm. Definitely best throttle response at this setting. However, there is a noticeable chunking sound occurring in first and second gear on their lowends. Not good. It sounds like the bike does when it chunks into first. Most likely the clutch. Number three: Bike in sixth gear at 60 and 9k rpms. Found that out on my way to first time above 80mph. NOTE: Make self smaller. Somehow I must shrink my 6'3" frame down so that I can be small enough for Pickles' pocket. I don't fit at the moment. What a great day for an ex-cager!' Ride fun (from here on out safe is implied)! FNG out

It was pretty rad, Mr. Bravo. (One of my favorite Brady Bunch episodes btw. "Hey, you fit the suit!" To which Greg replies, "And...and...that's not even my voice!"
Sha na na na na na na na na Sha na na na na (repeat) Summer turns to autumn Winter turns to spring... (Ok, got bored. Fading out.) cya

Haha... You have a double bubble or a touring screen? Makes pickles pocket bigger for bigger people

I'm sure someone some where talks like that, but very few folks out in my neck of the woods... Gota hear that on tv or in town.
The stock windscreens are tiny, I can tuck in it, but I'm under 5'8", and still wouldn't mind a little more pocket

Looks like a stock screen... Bubbles and touring screens are larger and less flat looking, big people and folks that wanna keep the wind off themselves ring their praises far and wide... Check the zero gravity website
http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/ They aren't the only ones that make them, but pretty popular for fit, finish, and quality

That is stock. I got touring for my `09 and `13. It helps a lot when doing freeway speeds. I vote dark smoke on green. |
