Yeowch nice catch.

*knock on wood* while I've never had something like that in my bike's tire, I'm mildly hoping I do at some point. i have a tire repair kit I need to practice with.

remember to get to a gas station that has air you can use first before patching.

I used to, but now I carry a CO2 filler and some 12 gram canisters.

Depends on situation needs I think. That's typically more for getting in just enough air to limp over to a gas station (unless you're carrying an absurd amount of CO2 canisters) where as the air compressor can just fully inflate the tire. I imagine NevadaWolf is more likely to find herself alone in the middle of nowhere and the air compressor would be of more use in that situation.

I carry a portable manual bicycle pump It's actually a horrid pain in the ass to use but it can fully inflate tires without using up the battery/gas... eventually.

@tfkrocks i hope you don't end up having to fully inflate the tire using only a hand pump. That'd seriously suck!

As for my little compressor, the only time I've needed it was when found myself in the middle of nowhere in a downpour and the car ahead of me popped the front tire by stiking a hidden flooded curb.

I think I end up carrying stuff more to help others. Maybe karma will help me out when I need it. Hopefully, please?

I used to have a tiny electric pump made by Slime, but someone stole it. I guess it's time to buy another.
