SOME people like them big, others like them nice and thin. I’m talking about gloves by the way.

On that note, I’ve been wearing British firm Weise’s Montana gloves for the last month, and I’m impressed.

We’ve all been there. Summer turns to winter, sun turns to rain, and thin sporty gloves with lots of feel turn into swollen mitts, giving you the same amount of feedback as an anaesthetised limb.

The Montana gloves prove it doesn’t have to be like that though. They tick all the boxes by being thin, warm, waterproof and they look good too.

They’re made from leather and polyester, with a thick 120 gram Thinsulate lining and a breathable waterproof inner liner.

The knuckles have a plastic armour shell placed over them helping to shape the glove better. Once your hand is in the Montana, you don’t have to constantly pull the cuff back for a better fit like other bulkier gloves.

One of the downsides of the glove is the amount of water they take on when wet. During a heavy downpour, they swelled up so much I decided to pull over and wring them out. My hand was completely dry but the gloves were significantly heavier from the water.

The Montana gloves also have a pull-cord to tighten the waterproof storm flap over your arm and an adjustable wrist-strap big enough to use when you're wearing the gloves.

Of the winter gloves I’ve tried, these are the ones I’d buy with my own money.
