its really light too. I actually bought it on ebay from extreme supply. I took a bit of a chance because i never tried on the helmet before, but i did proper measurements of my head and i read that HJC helmets were true to size, and it does actually fit perfectly. I also bought the smoke visor for it, it comes with a clear visor but i like people not seeing my face. haha

Yes, It is the exact one the Keenan bought.

I currently have an IS-16 that is only 1 yr old, but the FS-15 Carbons have come down in price so much I could not resist.

CC's been around here long enough for people to catch on that he's, umm, kidding. An out of context post on its own, well, it may be hard to see for folks who recently joined the site, but trust us, it'll all be understood well enough in time.

haha ok, my bad.

anyways, im really impressed with the helmet thus far. It is really light, and has barely any side to side flex. the carbon fibre looks great in person and shimmers in the light.

It looks nice and all but I'm not convinced by the weight. According to Web bike world in XL size it weighs 1514 grams, My IS-16 in XL size weighs 1653. So you benefit in weight by 139 grams, but you loose the integrated sun visor.

An i-phone 3gs weighs 135 grams, a nexus one is 130 grams, as near as makes no difference.

It does look to be built a little bit better, but vents and features seem the same as the much cheaper IS-16. But even at that price its does not seem to be too much benefit and you loose the 2nd sun visor. I just bought a 2nd IS-16 for €99, so now I have a black one for daylight and a white one for night time.

I suppose if your happy with it that's all that matters, but just remember the outer layer maybe lighter carbon fiber, but the rest of the layers are the same old stuff in every other helmet, so its not that much lighter. I think some people could spend half as much money on a hair cut and get as much benefit
