YAMAHA is offering free test rides on its new MT range at five events during July and August.

The offer includes every model in the new MT range, which has been marketed with the slogan 'Rise up your darkness'.

Unrestricted licence holders can try the 847cc three-cylinder MT-09 or 689cc twin-cylinder MT-07. 'A1' licence holders can ride a restricted 48hp version of the MT-07 and 'A2' licence holders can test the 15hp MT-125.

Instructors will be on hand for the demo rides, which will take place on a test course.

The 'Dark Side Tour' will also be the first public showing of the scrambler-inspired MT-09 Street Tracker, which goes on sale later in August.

The events will include a stunt show by Dave Coates and a competition to win an MT-07.

The tour dates and venues are:

Bristol (Clifton Rugby Club) - 12th/13th July

London (Box Hill nr. Dorking) - 26th/27th July

Birmingham (National Motorcycle Museum) - 2nd/3rd August

Edinburgh (Highland Centre) at the Great Scottish Motorcycle Show - 9th/10th August

Manchester (Belle Vue Speedway Track) - 16th/17th.
