Did you add this to the stable or is it your only bike now? The Groms seem cool and I'm assuming they have a huge aftermarket support but they just seem expensive to me.

lol, my fiancé and I actually split the cost on this guy. She's going to try and learn to ride on it, at 4'11" it's one of the only "bikes" she can actually manage to get off the side stand!

Yup, added to the stable.

My other bike is a 2009 FZ6.

The Groms are a tad expensive for what your getting, used they go for about $2.8k stock, a bit more with some tasteful mods.

I picked this guy up for $3,800 OTD. That's bike + freight + "set-up" + TTL. I probably could have got a better deal, maybe $3,600, but this dealer is a block from my house.

I can't wait to drag knee on it, I think it'll be hilarious fun!

^^^ I want a Grom so much, just not for $4k. I would pay $2K for one used maybe - just not enough bike for what Honda is asking for them. Congrats none the less. Mini Race it!!!!!!

Yeah $4k is a lot, and the grom isn't even really a "bike". It's more of a scooter. It's helpful that it'll be good for a short beginner rider.

I'm not too sure yet, but maybe 65 mph. It cruises nicely at 50 mph, however, I'm waiting until I get past the break-in and change the oil before I redline it.

Definitely see if you have any mini bike racing organizations in your area. Little bikes like the Grom are super fun on go kart tracks. Might even have a class just for them. Race fees are really affordable, you will get tons of track time and the atmosphere at a mini bike race is just laid back fun!

Then you will drag knee probably while tucking the front tire on corner entry and spinning the rear on exit. Basically crashing all the way around the turn but never hitting the ground ;D

Had a Grom with a pipe pass me on the highway tonight at about 65.

First one I've seen on the road. I was surprised it could go that fast.

If I ever move back to NYC, I will definitely get a Grom to commute on. I mean, I get my ass handed to me by most Vespa riders in Manhattan. And trust me, I'm trying my best trying to beat them. They can just squeeze into little pockets that most bikes can't squeeze into. I bet the Grom will give them a run for their money.

Oh....and that upside down fork is sexy on such a tiny machine!

She loves the Grom we started her learning process in the parking lot last weekend.

It was her first time on a bike, or working a clutch for that matter. We worked on feeling the clutch out with no gas. Stayed in first gear the whole time and just went in circles. Eventually gave it a little gas, but still stayed in first gear.
