Nails in tire
Just saw that I have some tiny nails that have flattened against my rear tire. I've patched car tires with the rubber inserts and glue I was wondering if there is any reason I couldn't do it to my bike tire?

Hmmmm nails as in plural? A pic may be in order here. Yes, people plug their tires from time to time but that is normally for a single hole.

Internal flat patching is better.

Remove tire from wheel
Grind area down on inside of tire Apply glue and patch Allow time to dry Pray you did a good job because they don't like to hold unless it's done well

Take the tire to a bike or tire shop, they know how to.
The plugs work, but they break internal cords that the little nails didn't.

Hmm, sounds like a pain. Then to remount the tire and check the balance.

You take the nails out yet? I had a nail in my tire that was due to be replaced anyways, so when I took it off it turned out to be a very short nail that didn't puncture anything at all.

Yeah, and if that doesn't seem to work check your pressure as well. Should tell you if you have a major leak. |
