i stole her bike today!!!

and rode it to work

initial impressions:

*it's very similar to riding my scooter. egos are so comfy

*i can't believe how much shifting you do. i kept wanting to shift into 7th gear at 60mph

*seemed like i was racing through traffic...having to rev the motor so high

*that seat is rock hard!!! having a broken tail bone, i don't think i can ride this bike for very long trips

*handled amazingly well in corners. the bike seemed like it was on rails

Yup, if there was any bike out there that would make good use of a 7th gear, the ninjette is probably the one, especially if someone doesn't want to do the 15-tooth sprocket mod and lose a small bit of off-the-line grunt.

I keep thinking about doing the 15t sprocket change, but as it is now I don't have any problems on the hills where I live. Except for one hill, I don't even have to downshift to climb the hills.

Sounds like you had a fun ride. Now the question is, will she let you ride it at Jennings?

I'm assuming you are talking about the Ninjette.. I had the same observations.

I went from riding a CBR600F4 everyday to work to jumping on the 250R we bought for my fiance. I couldn't believe how nice the ergos are on the 250R compared to my CBR.

I take the ninjette for a ride every chance I get when my fiance isn't around or at work. I think it would make a decent bike for touring also. I have some kappa racer soft saddle bags that work great on my cbr, but I think will also fir the ninjette just fine.
