New Goodies!

I can cross of two things from my list of "Needs" lol

I just ordered a black seat cowl and a Projekt D fender eliminator.

I'll be ordering these things in a couple weeks

Hotbodies Windscreen - Red
Icon helmet shield - Chameleon
Pro Grip Tank and Gas Cover Protectors - Clear
Vance and Hines CS One Slip On - Black
Also, Dennis Kurt offers colored windshield and body work bolts but they aren't available yet - So, I'll be getting red ones of those too.

I'll be posting pictures along the way!

Hopefully both will be here by the end of next week.
I hope the black seat cowl looks decent on my white ninja...*crosses fingers* There is some white but the majority is black so we'll see...

@ NicoleH28:

Did you try contacting Projekt D before ordering from them? The reason I ask is because I have sent them three different emails over the span of a week and a half and have not received one response from them. I was interested in ordering the fender eliminator from them, as I know some of the members here have had no issues with theirs and it looks really good. However, I don't make it a habit to purchase something from a company that can't reply to a simple question, as if they are unwilling to do that, then what are the chances of them answering you if you have a serious issue with one of their products you purchased from them.

Thank you,

I am happy and excited for you, even though they never answered any of my emails! I hope all works out. Apparently, I guess money truly does talk. However, if I have to pay money before a business simply replies back and answers my questions, then I personally don't want to do business with a company like that.

Can't wait for the pictures!

I know I had a few of them, but the main one I had was asking them if they could send me a copy of their instructions/diagram of the parts and installation process on their fender eliminator, as I wanted to see exactly what they are sending out with it.

Of course, I could have and still can ask for members here, who have purchased it, if they could share that with me. However, I don't feel it is their place nor obligation to do that, as any good business should be willing and able to help any potential or current customer out regarding any of their products. No communication from them equals no sale from me or from any body I personally know that might be interested.

Again, I am happy for you and I truly can't wait to see the pics.

I see. You do make a good point - I guess for myself I am a little too trusting or too excited to deck out my new bike and want to get started on it asap. Probably a combination of both. I hope you find a FE\company you are happy with.

Thank you! I appreciate your quick responses. I totally understand your situation and the only thing that matters is at the end of the day you are happy and satisfied!

I am sure you have nothing to worry about, as the others who have ordered from them seem to be alright. I am sure if I just went ahead and ordered from them that I would be as well, but I am not willing to spend my hard earned money at a place that simply can't reply to an email.

I am by no means in a hurry to get a FE, so I will continue to shop until I find the one I want at the price I am willing to pay through a company deserving of my business. I actually thought I had one, but after a great deal of communication on the business owner's part, he told me I should find something else or wait until they can fabricate a kit that I will be happy with. Most likely I will wait for them to do that, as I would really like to do business with them since I know they are willing to do what it takes to make sure I am happy even if that means having me not buy something from them. Now, that is what I call 'Customer Service'!

Any how, please keep us updated on your modifying adventures.

My seat cowl arrived today - looks pretty good!
Sorry the pictures aren't the best - you can see that there is mud covering parts of my bike and the under-tail...went for a ride into town today and my driveway is solid mud. So, I just parked it in the trailer when I got home. I'll be posting more pictures when my other accessories arrive

I love the look. What brand seat cowl is it? Do you find it attached fairly well - I've heard some complaints about how well some cowls fit. I'm thinking about getting one . . .

I went to the Kawasaki website and copied the part number for the seat cowl. I then searched the part number in google and chose http://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/ or "Babbitt's. It's made by Kawasaki...
It fits well. Little bit of a gap...but otherwise perfect.

Floyd,

Yes, that's the same OEM Kawasaki cowl that is sold as an accessory for our bikes through Kawasaki that others have complained about in the past. I have one of the same and have no complaints.

Looks good. Can you take a front 3/4 shot when you get your other accessories? I'm still undecided if I need one of these seat cowls...yet.

Sure, got an email from Motorcycle-Superstore that my order was shipped today. So, hopefully by the time that arrives my driveway will be dried up and I'll be able to take some better pictures.

I'm still wondering why that seat cowl wobbles from side to side when attached. I mean it's not like it's going to fall off or something but it's still a bit annoying.

Sweet!

As for the wobble, maybe some strategically placed stick-on rubber bumpers (or felt pads) would fix that issue.

Wow, I am NEVER going to put another fender eliminator on a bike again, LOL! I am mechanically inclined and that thing kicked my ass. Granted I had just got done working 3rd shift so by the time I was done my brain was mush and I was tired as all heck.

Anyway, everything is on...windscreen, tank pad, fender eliminator...just waiting to get my exhaust and probably some Pazzo levers eventually.

I painted my chain guard too...to me it looks burnt orange so I re painted it after these pictures a different red so I'll have to take new pictures when it's installed.

P.S. Tank pads are hard to get PERFECT - mine's the slightest bit crooked but I am not buying another one!

Did you use krylon fusion to paint the chain guard? The bike looks great

Yep, I got the red Fusion. When I first painted the guard it turned out looking more like a burnt orange for some reason...so I sprayed just a plain white enamel over it and then hit it with the red Fusion again and the red color came out perfect that time. I am assuming it had something to do with the chain guard being black? Dunno...

I painted parts of my dash in my car and it started to chip. It might have been because of it being in the sun

I used yellow Krylon Fusion on the inside of my truck in all different places and I haven't had an issue with it. I do a minimum of 3 coats.

You're pretty ballsey. I'd be scared to paint the chain guard on a brand new bike at the risk of messing it up. It came out really good though. Adds some more contrast to the bike. I like
