Ever notice that girls are better riders?
Has anyone ever seen a girl ride over her head, show off (wheelies, stoppies, sliding the rear, of the bike), or acting like an idiot. Most girls know their limits and ride within them. They learn faster because they listen more. Girls have their share of crashes but it's never their fault (usually road conditions). When they do go down, they tell the truth about what happened and don't make excuses.
I think we need more girls riding.

I agree with you. Girls could teach us a thing or two about riding within our limits. Also girls tend to think with the head on their shoulders where as guys think with the other head.

Girls are more moody that guys though. I used to race against this hot girl from Canada. She was a good racer but I never let her beat me (I never LET anyone beat me). She would never talk to me after races. I might have gotten a date if I let her just once beat me but, I guess guys are more competitive than smart.

i use to have a girl on my endurance team. she was pretty good and fun to race with, but if she got taken out on the track or something happened she'd get PISSED! she wasn't afraid to chew someone's ass.

I'm always worried about my wife. She tends to tail gate cars, both while moving and stopped. I've talked to her tons about leaving a safe distance for an "out" if something happens... In one ear, out the other... Also, she gets lost easily. Fortunately, she usually follows me when going somewhere new.
Also, she used to complain that I drove too slow. Now she complains I drive too fast... I haven't really changed my driving style, so... ????? I really don't think you can generalize females or males as better. It really just depends on the individual. Not what's between the legs. |

The girl in my MSF class that dropped the motorcycle on herself within the first 10 minutes of range time, pouted, and then quit coming to class (thereby pissing away 225 dollars) was clearly a better rider than me, and every other male on a motorcycle.
What exactly was the point of this thread? To kiss ass to girls? If I were you (and boy am I glad I'm not) I'd totally print out a copy of it, roll it up, and then hang it out my zipper. Guaranteed mad chick action. |

I just tried harder at everything. If something was a challenge for me i would bite the bullet and do it over and over again until it became second nature. I didn't like the feeling that i couldn't do something because i was scared. That's probably why i'm soo good at backing up trailers with the big rigs. I was told i'm one of the best in my area just too shy to try out my skills in competitions.

It you all don't mind . I would like to introduce one of my heros. Her name is Debbie Dross. She and her husband Todd are two of the nicest people you could ever meet , She rides a nitrous Hyabusa .
She commutes on a Buell in DC traffic daily and and Races Landspeed at Maxton And Bonniville. She is just one of the women I race with . I always say ."I wish I could ride like a girl"

I've been having problems with that lately. Maybe if lucky you can come up here an help me fix my bike when it gets broken. I'd hate to see what kind of mess I'd make if I were working on it. Better go back to the kitchen and raise me some babies.

Alright. Though I like to take credit for being an awesome rider it didn't come without learning from others...
What I learned... Male or female we still do stupid things. I have 'crashed/dropped/fallen' twice for stupid things. Granted I wasn't doing stunting type things... In my experience I have not met a woman that has done/brags about doing wheelies stoppies etc. Be it show off or other... On a sport bike. I am sure there are women out there that can and will do these things. I know some women who have done wheelies on dirtbikes or DZRs and such. But again those are off street and in the dirt (which sometimes hurt worse) Perhaps they are the Unicorns of the Unicorns. The ones you hear about but really never see...

Most girls/women just don't have that social expectations or Hollywood macho crap that most guys have in their heads. Today's woman also feels more empowered to question that social norm, and is usually wiling to work a little harder to prove to herself that she's just as good as she thinks she is, and damn what the guys think.
That's not to say that women aren't competative, especially with other females, just in a different way than most men. I teach and coach military competative shooting. The female shooters, almost always, shoot to a higher potential faster than male shooters do, have fewer bad habits to break, develop fewer bad habits long term, and take coaching better so they make fewer mistakes long term. Why? Because they don't ASSUME they know what to do, they don't have 18+ years of MANLY MAN BS in their heads, and they listen and do what's asked of them first time. Irks the guys to all hell when the females outshoot them, which happens quite often! I love it!

It is possible that you have seen them but they are geared up to the point where you can't tell their gender.
When I first started I was in black leather pants, a Mens Alpinestar jacket and a silver and black helmet. If it wasn't for the flopping braid I am sure I would have been assumed a guy.

You all have a point to be made concerning guy vs. gal in sportbiking. However I will say I do much better when riding with the guys because they push you just a little harder, you have to dig a little deeper and learn a little more thereby increasing your skill level. That I like whether it be in work or in play the guys increase your game each time you engage them. and I love it.

I don't think this is entirely true and you can't generalize. Everyone is different. Even some girls may be moody and some may not be. Some may know what they're doing and some may not. I'm a girl btw.

No really, every single girl in the entire world is moody (at some time in their life) generally. No girl is different either. You are either a girl or not a girl (then you're a boy or confused). Every girl knows what she is doing (although she may not know how to do it).
