Best place To order new fairings (2008)

Hey everyone!

The previous owners of the 250 I have --- made a Horrible attempt to make it into a " street fighter ". It's really bad

I want to order new fairings sp? (It needs Everything)

I will try to post a photo of what Iam looking for. ( just need to learn how to post pictures ). I uploaded it - however it asks for a URL when I try to put it into the post

Thanks in advance and I hope everyone's has a great weekend!

Several ways to get photo into your post. One way to do it is to upload as part of post as you did. After you've clicked on upload, look for link under "Current attachments" below. Right-click it and pick "open in new window/tab" and your photo opens in new tab. Copy URL at top of that new window/tab and use it when asked URL when clicking on embed-picture icon. This is URL of your photo --> https ://www.ninjette.org/forums/attachment.php? attachmentid=46317 &d=1570291031

Annoying thing is you get embedded picture in post as well as attachment preview below.

Another way to do it is to put it into your photo album. Click on "User CP" at top of page. Then click on "Pictures & Albums" on left to upload pictures and even group them into albums if you want.

After you've uploaded picture and see contact-sheet of thumbnail previews, click on photo you want to embed and it'll be blown up full screen. Look below picture and you'll see two text-boxes labeled "Picture URL" and "BB Code". Easiest to select-all text in BBCode and copy and paste it directly into your post's text box. This BB Code:

[IMG ] https://www.ninjette.org/forums/atta...7&d=1570291031 [/IMG ]

Then becomes this photo when you post message.

But all that screenshotting and uploading gets way too complicated. Easiest is to just use original picture! When finding photo you want from sesrch, open up picture by itself. Click on "View Image"

you'll get photo by itself in window. You know it's just photo itself without any silly HTML wrappers because because URL ends with .JPG.

Select-all this URL and copy it.

http ://images.motorcycle-usa.com/PhotoGallerys/2008_Kawasaki_250R_racersid.jpg

And use it when clicking on embed-picture icon. Orignal picture shows up in post and much easier and cleaner than screenshots and uploads.

As for fairings, try this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32997432378.html?mp=1

I found www.DHgate.com

And also AMAZON.

Depending on your criteria, you might have to make several purchases. As I might have to make, over time.

The issue I am running into, is there is not a true complete set.

Examples.

- If it's primered, it does not include a tank overly, or a rear cowl.

- if it's painted, it might come with a cowl, for rear seat, but not a matching tank overlay. Your stock tank won't match.

-If it comes with a tank overlay, it doesn't come with a rear cowl to match. And they don't come painted in stock colors. ( which defeats the purpose to spend much more money, to get what you need, but painted in colors you don't want...just so you can paint it in your colors. ( Hope that makes sense.)

- Nobody seems to include a simple tank overlay for sale by itself. Except for ebay, and they want hundreds of dollars for it.

- You can buy the rear cowl seperately though. Either used, or Chinese knock off for reasonable price, but might not be in the color you want.

That's my dilemma, with a tank overlay, or solo seat cowl.

Check out 12k motor in Australia. I'll be getting fairings from them by then end of November. Chinese company based in Both Australia and China. You can add a matching tank cover for about $80 and it comes with a free windshield. They say their painting techniques are better then the others out there. Monster fairings seems good too but slightly more expensive.

Link to desired bodywork is here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32997432378.html?mp=1

It includes tank-cover and solo-tail seat cap. AND, panels underneath tank is properly painted and matches photo of desired bodywork. All-in-one deal, no separate orders needed, no painting needed.

will have to add sponsor stickers yourself though...

That's actually a pretty good deal.

Even factoring in shipping. That particular set, still runs cheaper than the others I have seen, primered, or painted, without the tank, and/or or the solo seat.
