They do look neat, but I'm not really getting it.

If they sprayed a heavy layer of urethane on everything I might expect that you will have some issues getting the sprocket to mount on the carrier, as well as getting the sprocket to slide on the splines of the countershaft.

Hopefully not too difficult to remove if required.

Yeah, I'm kinda underwhelmed. I'll stick with my "almost a bicycle chain" 415 kit.

Looks cool!

Did both sprockets mount without removing any of the coating?

Can't say I'm sure of any benefit it offers, but I can say it looks cool. You might also need red rim tap now.

I'm anxious to find out how the Gilmer drive belt works, I'm kind of tired of chains after 50+ years of riding.

yes it was difficult to get on shaft as they dipped the whole thing. i told them about it. it really doesn't need coating on front. it wore off quickly. waiting for belt drive.

I still haven't figured out what advantage there is to having extra material (weight) on the sprocket in the form of those rings on both sides of it. What's the situation with the belt drive you mentioned?

i don’t have a clue either, the sides are not metal but rubber or poly. i just like that i’m the only one in the usa running them. belt drive still in testing. emma from sinnob will let me know. as always fellow member bernawanfr made all this happen. they do look trick though.
