Cool Alternate front pegs for your 250...

Here's my R1 pegs I installed the other day. They are rear pegs off the R1.They fit like they were made for it.

Some pics from different angles, please?

Are the plug and play? What hardware do you need other than the pegs from the R1? (pins, springs, clips, etc.) From what year R1?

looks pretty good from what I can see.

edit- wait, this is on a 2004 bike? Posted in wrong forum?

K... thanks for sharing. I seem to remember the 08/09 bikes take a different aftermarket peg than earlier year bikes, so I would assume what fits your bike may not necessarily fit the new gens.

Nice find, though!!

Talking Different Pegs

I have a 2008 ZX6 in addition to my 2008 250 EX250. I replaced the 250 pegs, both front and rear with the pegs from the Zx6. THey fit no problems, and look freakin' superb!

Well...the black ZX6 pegs look better than the old rubber coated pegs (old are silver), more aggressive I think. The loss of the rubber on the front gives a different feel to your boots, maybe a better grip due to the sharper angles on the protrusions on the top of the pegs. Instead of just "sitting" on top of the pegs, your feet are now more "attached".....as in a clip on a road bicycle. You feel like part of the machine not just sitting on top of the machine. Same height, same fitment, but you need to order ALL the pieces for the new pegs due to a different mechanical design. I ordered all the pieces shown in the Illustrated Parts Breakdown from Bike Bandits Web page. perfect fit and all. Easy modification that makes you feel like you have put your name on the bike. Along with the fender eliminator, this change is easy and noticeable. Doesn't screw up the sound of quiet either (like an exhaust mod).

That's a hard one to remember, for the purchase has been a bit ago. At my advanced age actions performed the night before are often purged from RAM by the following morning. I want to say that the whole nine yards (all four pegs & hardware) set me back less than 100 bones. That may sound a bit steep just to have a unique peg set-up, but I would rather have "stuff" in my hands than green paper sitting on the desk.

Costly for sure dude. worth it or not...that is the big question. I did use the original springs, so that saves a few pennies!
