This denim pant features Aramid reinforced knee panels, tough denim chassis, and ICON's relaxed street fit. With Icon's no b.s. policy regarding this category, they are surely crafing the past, present, and future one stitch at a time.

Key Features

Icon relaxed fit
Durable denim chassis
Abrasion resistant Aramid reinforced knees
Size 38

Okay so they arrived today, and I must say I'm NOT impressed, but it my fault for not reading more carefully.

They only have added protection in the knees, that's it. I've have other Kevlar pants, and they provide better protection, knees, backside, etc....

One would think/hope that ICON would be equal, if not better than most, in this case they are not.

I did get them at a good price, so I'm not too disappointed, but I wouldn't pay full price for them.

My street leathers, on my leather chair, lol. 1.4mm Cowhide. Boots are gore-tex. Had my girlfriend remove all the free advertising. About $800 in gear here. Took all the stock armor out because I know how to take a fall. Hope to never test the slide protection.

I'd put the armor back in. You never know when something is going to whack you when you're not looking. Not all falls are controlled.

Each crash is different. We all hope to never need to test our gear, but know that it's always a possibility. Be realistic.

Armor helps to absorb the impact and disperse the pressure - you want it.

I've crashed (back in the day) with full leathers and still had burns on my forearms just from the combination of impact pressure and the jacket sliding against my skin. The wounds are clean and heal well, but still fairly large. If I had better armor (old suit without much armor) I'm sure the size and severity would have been much less.

A year and a half ago I had a minor low-side crash while fooling around on the Dragon. I was wearing good leather gloves with padding at the knuckles, but my left index finger's knuckle got hit by something and it's still swollen, possibly permanently. Right after that I bought a pair of gloves with hard reinforcement at the knuckles. Armored knuckles, that is.

Now think of what could happen to a much larger joint if something hit it hard. Taking a fall "correctly" is fine until your motorcycle or a curb, or a car bumper (etc.) hits you.

Yeah, not supposed to protect me from hitting things or something hitting me, like was said. I can take the fall, so I'm good without the armor, thanks. Other than the Gloves which are armored at the knuckles with a thin sheet of carbon fiber.

Seriously? Have you ever taken a hard fall? You want all the protection you can get. It's still no guarantee of anything.

I guess I just don't understand why you would buy gear with armor, then remove it.

It seems you have made up your mind, but maybe others reading this will see the value of advice from those that have experienced these things first hand...

Jay, I still laugh about the first time I fell on the supermoto track at VIR, while wearing my newly purchased leather pants with armor, and a leather jacket with armor. As I slid out in a turn and went down, my brain was expecting pain, especially in places like elbows, knees and hips. It actually felt like I had fallen into a pile of feathers.

I haven't tested any of my new gear, so I'll take your word for it that the landing is softer now with armor than it was in the good ol' days.

Ever had pants like that?

I had not before I got mine, and I've found that once you get used to them, it feels REALLY strange to ride without them.

Plus you've got half a track suit, right there....

And some parts.

Picked up some frame sliders. Better safe since it's a brand new bike.

20161129_063608.jpg

Needed the adjustable levers for my little hands.

20161129_063439.jpg

And a low seat!

20161129_063509.jpg

Also got the Yoshimura fender eliminater kit with the Motodynamic integrated tail light.
And the Kawi tail and tank bags for the 300s.

Nope. Just the low seat and the same tires i had on my old 300 and that will drop it a tiny bit too. No lowering kit this go around though.
I felt fine on her at stock height when i rode home.

Just picked these up, CHEAP!!! Motorcycle boots OXTAR JUPITER 2 GTX XCR BOOT BLACK SIZE 12 like new, hell they are new, no signs of wear, etc... They have Gor-tex, and are also EN/CE certified.

They are comfortable, and similar to a high top sneaker.

If anyone is looking for a new lid I just picked one of these up as a spare and it may replace my Scorpion that im attached to. Fits my melon real well and is extremely light. The travel on the shield isnt as smooth as some helmets ive worn but fit/finish overall is great for the money.

https://www.cyclegear.com/gear/sedic...bon-flo-helmet Looks like they only have small left online, you may have luck on other sizes at your local store.

Just scored a used Vanson jacket, for a great deal off eBay

http://www.vansonleathers.com/prod-S...ark_2-295.aspx

I've been wanting a Vanson for some time, been watching and waiting, and it payed off finally.

Next on my list is a Lewis Leathers jacket.
