Thanks, but I'm still looking for a Lewis leathers jacket.

I looked on their website, but couldn't find my jacket, so I sent them an email, along with pictures to have the help me identify the model.

To my disappointment below is their response

Quote:
I am afraid this is not our company.

It's a Motorcycle equipment company that registered a similar name in the late 90s early 2000s (we are not sure).

Always look out for the winged patched logo; a D.Lewis or Aviakit label on the jacket lining; and finally you can just look at the style of jacket it and compare it to the jacket styles on our website.
As you can probably see, we do not have any jacket styles that closely resemble the one that you acquired.
Kind Regards

James
Lewis Leathers Ltd.
So I'm a bit disappointed, but then again I'm not out a lot money, and I've added another jacket to my collection.

The search continues.........

I just picked up a rear seat cowl off Craigslist last week. Lovin the look and how it's not as noisy as the rear seat. I was talking to the guy for a minute and it turns out he was a ninjette member! He has that headlight splitter that was on here a couple weeks ago and that's what brought us to the realization.

I bought some Speed & Strength brand motorcycle gloves for $17 off Amazon. The local dealership was $49.99 for the exact same gloves.

I bought this hydration backpack.

Summer's coming up! Don't get heat-stroke! These are the BEST and dorkiest way to stay cool on your motorcycle and helps with visibility if that's a priority for you. It says it's out of stock, but it was on sale when I bought it and it's probably about the same quality as any other knockoff hydration pack.

I have a CamelBak pack and they're great! I don't use it on the motorcycle, but I do use it on my bicycle and when I'm walking a lot. I have a hard time drinking from the straw with my helmet on. I carry a bottle of something in my tailpack, though, for when we stop.

I have something similar, it’s very convenient to be able to drink water without stopping. I can go through 1-2 litres in 2-5hrs of riding.

Lost a dear friend of mine while doing track day on 16 Nov 2017 due to heat stroke. Please... please take care guys and re-hydrate yourself. Better yet, get those inserted in your suits.

Btw I like the ZX6R's blue gas tank! It accents the white really well.
In the past 30 days or so I picked-up some spares for my 2007;

- Upper fairing
- Windshield
- Two mirrors
- Four turn signals
- Gauge cluster
- Headlight
- Rear fender (came with the two rear turn signals)

On my to find list;

- Lower front fairing.

I'm in this Ninja thing for the long haul.

Bill

Picked up a Ninja 500 parts bike for FREE!!!

Missing front-end and bodywork from crash I assume. Guy did give me headlight, forks. Wouldn't take much to restore it, but do I want to??? There's perfectly good 500 engine I can stuff into a Ninjette... hmmm....

Stumbled across this on FB. An original BMW Motorrad kangaroo suit!

Owned by what I'd term a "gentleman sportbike rider." The kind of guy with multiple BMWs in his garage, but who's never touched a knee puck (original pucks were on the suit). Comes complete with Level 2 armor, including a D3O-type back protector.

Said he bought a Ducati, so wanted to switch to Dainese. Guess he's brand-conscious or something.

I'm under no such illusions.

This is about as high-end as it gets in an off-the-rack suit. As close to as-new condition as it gets, given its age.

The best part?

$400. Don't hate me.

I've always wanted a BMW....

Picked-up this RST suit and a pair of Held gloves with a Canyondancer tiedown strap for $300.

Also picked up a 2008 CRF150R for a good price yesterday. I'll post some pix of that shortly.

For the longest time, I resisted the balaclava and handlebar muffs; they look dorky. This winter I picked up a pair of each. I must be growing up or something because I got me excited to show them both off to a few friends. They both work great! I can't believe how many times I've frozen my ass off for completely stupid reasons. My hands don't get cold until I get off the bike and take my gloves off. An absolute must-have. I will never not have a pair of these on a motorcycle I'm riding in the winter.

here's a link to the muffs I bought. They're made out of neoprene.
