1st gen or New gen ?

Just wanted to get a poll going to see what generation bike people have.

The two are cousins so I can't say enough about both of them.

Hi Rick -

What I'm seeing is about 4 out of 5 signups have a new-gen ninjette. Still means there's likely 100+ members here with a pre-gen....

I love my 08 but I think the 1st gen bikes look better. There's just something about the older bikes, i dunno, it reminds me of Robotech or something.

09' the newest of the new. Until next year of course. Older vehicles have character that an off the showroom floor vechicle doesn't. New things are nice though.

I love my new one. I loved my old one. The only advantages I see to the new one are the (much) improved suspension, and the improved mid range power (less down shifting to regain speed after a slow down).

I like my cushy suspension for daily commute, so that would not be an advantage for me. why I want one of each.

my pregen is modified (in terms of performance). its got a muzzy full exhaust, jet kit, etc and i must admit, it drives way better than my stock 09.

gotta do some mods on the new one to catch up with the old one

Due to the popularity of the negen, there will lots of aftermaket accessories coming out to modify it.
