The other day I road about an hour and a half on 30, 83 and 695 to get myself down to MD. I did 80-90 pretty much the whole way. The bike felt good, didn't bother me and it wasn't too buzzy honestly.

I got pissed on the way home though. Apparently if you weave in and out of traffic in a car it's not a problem. But as soon as you do it on a bike, you get honked at for 5 minutes straight. I was like wtf... I can't help you're not going as fast as I am. I was just looking for my normal buddies that drive faster than 60 mph. I'm trying to get home from work, not sight see.

I was also pleasantly surprised as I had a guy that actually slowed down in the left hand lane (making other cars slow down as well) to let me get safely in front of him. I gave him a nice wave and then I was off again. lol

About 700 kms in 10 hours
But i stopped every 200 km, because i was with a MT-01, and that thing had to be refilled unbelievably often for a bike of that size

Longest by distance would be my trips between Vegas and LA -- of which my longest would be the first (I was all wimpy and going slow) which I believe was 6 hours.

Granted, it was on my R1, but I did an Iron Butt ride, cover 1019 miles in a little less than 20 hrs. There was a group of 11 people on 10 bikes that did it, organized through a local forum.

155 miles on my Bonneville...from full tank to vapor. I use the gassing up as opportunity to rest and rehydrate also.

Nice!

I still win though.

More than twice as many hours, twice as far, and still no sleep.

I probably shouldn't brag about being so irresponsible (danger to myself and others in my condition), especially when I critique my friend for driving tired all the time.

Pensacola,FL to Palm Beach, FL - Roughly 650 miles. Not non-stop though. We took plenty of breaks. About 5 minutes every half hour. Cruised around 65-70.

Its nuts out here, No one in Houston uses a turn signal, they either do 15 under the speed limit or 15 over the limit. Doesn't help that the freeway system is a jumbled mess. I hate having to ride the freeway's but its the only way to get around here. You can usually take frontage roads for a bit, but you will always end up having to go on the freeway for a stretch

How far have you gone on your ninjette?

I live in Tampa now, but we'll be going to Miami next Monday. I talked to a couple of mechanics and they recommended that I bring some oil with me and lube for the chain. I wonder how far I can go with my little ninja. I hope to go to Atlanta, California etc...(one day). But for now Miami will do. I won't be taking the highway on my trip because I feel like I won't experience as much or see much taking that route.

soooooo. Tell me how far you've gone on your bike.

Oh ok i see 60 on the map. Yeah looks like one of those quiet 2 lane highways. Definitely a nice ride through a non-populated area once you hit lake kissimmee.

Being a Florida and never seeing a feeder road before, i thought those were the coolest streets ever. If the freeway is jammed, hop off onto the feeder and carry on. Although, y'all need to work on the quality of the roads out in HOU. They are terrible in comparison to the Florida turnpike. But, that is probably why we pay an arm and a leg in tolls.

Orlando to Chicago 1200 miles (+/-)

elapsed time, 23 hr 17 minutes in the saddle... with a few stops to stretch my back, and eat.

mind you this was done on a 1986 GSX-R1100

1150miles in 17 hours on the ninjette coming back from a mtb race in New Mexico. Not too bad when you consider I rode 1150 miles out there over two days then raced the mtb for 12hr then next day then all the way back home the next.

13 hours only 450 miles. Epic ride in Ohio last year, did stop a few times.
Gap this year 12.5 hours 350 miles, 1/2 in the rain.
