I did that with round 1. Took a bunch of photos of the canopy instead of video riding. Or my battery died. All weekend I had a bunch of nothing.

Yeah I need a different mount. I didn't realize it would be that bad. It was the first time a got the camera to work so I didn't know.

Meh on the pictures overall, but I do want to say that Cheeks has amazing BP. My mind was blown everytime he passed me.

Anyways, here's my video of the race from my perspective if anyone is really really bored. Skip to around 4 and a half minutes and on if you want to understand why I was all riled up and not willing to end up behind shawn

My camera ran out of battery mid turn 1 on the final lap, but at 10 minutes a lap, that's to be expected. Haha, I really need to practice my starts. And I fully have come to see that my lines sucked, and I need to use so much more throttle and break so much later in so many places, but I'll figure it out. Racing definitely really does make me try way harder to go faster and has made me realize that there are a lot more ways to get through a corner than the ones I'm used to.

Great racing guys!

This is why I love racing the 250s and why I promote it so much. Regardless of position, you're bound to have epic battles whereas on a 600/1000cc race bike you'll be battling with one person.

Considering you crashed but was still able to put down 2:26s while poaching just means you're getting faster. Good job.

Shawn, you're doing great for your first time racing the 250 let alone riding it. Gotta work on your lines and throttle but BP looks good.

Cynicalkit - you get some great launches and pull from the group really well. Granted you crashed on Friday and wasn't feeling so good physically I give you props for racing. I know you can do 2:15s.

****, I predict all of you will get in the 2:15-2:19s by the end of this season.

Awesome video . I had no idea all that fun stuff was happening behind me. I need to work on stamina because I definitely started pooping out around lap 4. Now that I told you how I do my starts you will be in front of me and I will poach you!

Thanks Jon! I really am glad you and Steve were so obnoxious in your race whoring. Aside from being unreasonably fun, I think the coolest part of racing is that I was making very little progress in doing trackdays once I got to a certain point and even in practice this weekend after crashing I just couldn't make myself twist the throttle, but in fighting it out out there, I didn't have time to overthink anything and ended up running on a new personal best despite being on completely questionable lines with *ahem* traffic. I guess hitting the switch from logic and carefulness to desperate determination is exactly what I need to get better. I love that we have such a great range of talent out there, and it's all such friendly competition

that said, considering I'm still completely high from the experience, this is why I also don't feel bad shamelessly shoving "race with us!" down everyone's throat

Well good news then, I rented a pair of balls for September, so NRS here I come. Bad news is I am renting them from some Asian dude so they are super small so I'll be slow as hell. See you for round Four!

I won't be here in may, I'll be in texas picking up Sharon and moving her out here. I also want to do NRS and my first race CCW, I am more comfortable that direction and I think it will make me more comfortable.
