New bits from Christmas

Hi,
Over Christmas santa has contributed some new parts for my bike.
Here are some shots of my new Yoshi exhaust, Targa tail kit and Intuitive frame sliders.

and a few dodgy shots with my Iphone, first pic is the cool little billet light in the tail kit and the others are 2 bikes that I rode with over the last few Christmas days.

I've got a Targa fender eliminator, 15 tooth sprocket, and rim stripes to install. Did you get the Targa kit for stock signals where it has an aluminum piece on the bracket that is threaded?

Sorry k-os dont understand your question. I used all the pieces from the kit with no troubles. I dont think the indicators are approved, so I may switch back to the stock ones.

Looks great! The carbon fiber pipe really tops it off.

Looks like iPhone makes the left side of pictures blurry.

Ive only just noticed the phone was doing that, thats Iphone's for ya.
I recently added a seat cowl, it looks great. I'm unsure on how well the cowl mounts, hope it doesnt come flying off.

As long as it "clicks" and latches when you push it down at the front of the cowl, it should be secure and can't fly off.

I ahve got a rear cowel on my bike and I have found that is needs a firm push at the front to ensure it fully locks. Also, be sure not to put too much presure on the back as it can snap the pads that hold it firm (I found out the hard way) the cowel is still usable, it is just loose at the back.

I had a issue with the cowl today.
I rekon, kawa could have put a little more thought into how its installed, why not keep the same method as the seat.
Any way, I went out to grab some lunch and noticed the cowl wasnt sitting properly at the back, so took it of and reistalled it. When I tried to re-install the cowl, it just kept popping the gromit through. Its very hot today, 38-40deg, and it makes the grommit more floppy allowong it to fall strait through.

So I got some epoxy and glued the grommit in. Just installed the cowl, and now I get a small click. The cowl doesnt move for now, but its only a quick fix. I rekon the Epoxy will crack under the vibrations, so I need a stong flexible glue like fletchtite, but its hard to find.
Anyone else modded the seat cowl?

Yeah, the same thing happened to me, I lost the rubber gromit, not sure when and after that the pads broke off. I am now going to look for another rubber gromit, though I can't see it being too hard to mod so it is the same as the seat. Maybe cut the part the fits into the gromit and then fix a plate with hooks like the seat to hook under the part where the rubber gromit sits. This to me would be far more secure.

Yup I though about that, take out the 2 grommits on the back, so I can use them for mounting positions when I install a bracket simular to the one on the standard seat. Give it a go when I got some spare time and let you know how it goes.

Cool, I would like to know how you get on. You could take pics of the process and then make a DYI for everyone else if the wish to do this.

I have got some HIDs to install and AP exhaust system to order and install before I will be doing this

I'm doing the shims very soon, just added an exhaust.
