Ignition problem
Hello guys,
I started to see today a strange hesitation around 7000 rpm, after the bike is warmed. Seems like a spark plug failure or proper ignition faullt. Anyone has experienced this? I need to mention that this started after I washed the moto without the fairings, maybe some water got into the ignition sysrem? Any thoughts are welcome. Regards Posted via Mobile Device |

How long did you ride the bike after you had washed it? Alos, how many miles are on your bike now? May-be a good time for a tune up? Check the easy stuff 1st. Plugs, and connections.

I rode it like one week after the wash. It is now 10.000km and it just came from the dealer where it was serviced.

If it just came from the dealer being serviced, I would return it to them and let them you know your concern.

Just happened again when I was comming back from work. The first 10 miles are ok, the ninja is perfect and no signs of hesitation. However, after that period, I start to get the hesitation, like a missfire, at around 8.000rpm. Strangely, it started to hesitate a bit higher than when I was going to work, at around 8 and 10.000rpm. It seemed to me, also, that it was less intense than before. I donīt think it is water since it needs this 10miles to start doing that.
Do you guys have experienced any kind of hesitation due to coils or ignition modules maybe? Dos the ninjette have an ignition module or similar? Regards |

pull your plugs and check them. also, check for water that might have gotten into the plug towers.

Hello all,
Problem solved. It was a lose ignition wiring plug. I just took off the fairings and saw it right there. Thanks everybody for the help! |
