Anyone know an air filter I can replace the OEM filter with?

have my bike apart while I wait for a bunch of other pieces to get here in the mail and decided to clean the air filter. I opened it and there wasn't anything but the black ashes of the old air filter.

I don't feel like rejetting and messing around with pods -since I love how quiet my bike is- so I'm just going to replace it with an OEM filter or something similar. Is there anything I could buy at autozone/ any other parts store that would work/ fit in the stock airbox?

Yeah. Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNI-AIR-FILT...b46948&vxp=mtr

Which I don't think is available at most of the motorcycle stores/ autozones here. I'll have to call around on Monday (or buy online) and see. if I can't find anything autozone would have that works.

Hmmm K&N and UNI are some I would try looking at part stores and asking them (Autozone, NAPA, Advanced Auto Parts etc etc) if nothing best bet is online.

1. http://www.knfilters.com/search/apps...GePjin5YFmOFh1

2. http://www.unifilter.com/online%20ca...tkawasaki.html

Hope you find one that will work for you. Cheers on the bike best of luck.

Thanks for the links!

Also, if anyone would happen to know how (or if) I should clean the screens inside? I'm just going to scrape up the old filter and wipe down the inside with a damp cloth and dry it off.

You can't pull the screen out, unless you take the box apart.

I would clean the debris the best possible (vacuum maybe), since any soft remains wouldn't cause any damage to the engine.

Any piece of 1/2"~3/4" foam (polyurethane foam) that is cut close to the shape will work while you wait for an original filter.
Just soak it in regular oil and eliminate the excess.

I just bought and installed one original air filter from Ron Ayers; it was around $4 if I remember correctly.
