Front Brake Lever Wont Activate Brake Light

I'm looking at wiring schematics, but was wondering if anyone had this issue? The rear brake will activate the brake light, but using the front brake, the light won't come on. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks~

Both switches are in parallel connection with the brake light.

In your case, look for a defective switch or open circuit (loose connectors or broken wires) for the front portion.

I bought bike used, 8,000 miles. PO not available to answer. Just trying to fix up little things. He hacked this bike pretty good. I tore it down in November to jet carbs, remove air box, pod filters. Fuse for horn is removed, but when I replaced it, it works. He removed license plate light for a crap hack of the fender eliminator, and left wires dangling in rear compartment.

Is the front switch part of the lever assembly, or separate?

Was able to get down to just the switch, and its bad. I can move the prongs on the switch and get good readings with my meter, but just moving the prong will make or break the switch. Going to get a replacement.

Also, I didn't check while I was there, but I should be able to get voltage on one of the wires coming in, correct?
