Fuel mileage with full system what to expect..

Currently have a full stock bike and want to upgrade to the full system exhaust. Sportisi. I get 425kms per tank, which comes out to 58mpg. What am i looking at if i put a full system with jet kit.

And is the system worth the fuel loss for the power gained.

Thanks

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere.

not much. i would say the same, maybe a bit more since most open exhausts are lighter in weight than OEM's, but we are talking 1-2bhp more and maximum 5-10 kg lighter. You buy full exhaust on a 250cc for look and sound mostly imo.

You buy a slip on for look and sound, a full system with proper jetting will result in some significant and noticable power gains. It's not like it's going to make you do power wheelies but you will definitely notice a difference in power, especially on the highway. Most full systems also change up the power band, moving max HP from 10.5k to around 12k. This allows the bike to pull harder all the way through the powerband as opposed to beginning to drop off early.

Here's the difference in power of one of the top performing pipes by AreaP

Oh you will definitely lose a few MPG's but the nice thing about the Ninja is that you can mod it all you want, ride like you stole it, and still get 40mpg

The only thing that isn't really fair about the dyno graphs from area p is that they compare the bike with the airbox gone, and the full system. Sooo they're showing the dyno results for someone elses product not just their exhaust system.

Love their stuff though. Not slamming on them at all. I highly recommend them because I like the fact that Kerry has taken an active role with a smaller bike that everyone seems to forget about. And he's a nice guy. For that alone, I will continue recommending his products.

You forgot that they are also using customized jets! It's all just part of the process.
