problem is electric... some problem either with the stator system (worn out/burnt), or the regulator most probably I think... had the same problem on my ZX12, thought it was my regulator but it was the stator after all... melted the regulator and turned the battery dead before I realised and found out what it was... good luck...

well, I can't tell you that because in Greece anyone charges anything they think is fit for the repair... the regulator is quite cheap but the stator is not and getting a used one is rather like asking for trouble....as for the repair job, if yoy have some basic technical experties and the service manual, it can be a DIY thing...

then get a gel type of battery that is mora expensive but lasts much longer and can take the extra charge from xenon lights, alarm etc...

Did someone swap your 250 with a ZX-6R? (thread title doesn't make sense to me?)
