Only 2 hours and I already want to rip my new exhaust off!
So yeah bought an exhaust a few days ago and it arrived today, it's just a slip-on so I shoved it on and started the bike. It's sounds cool and loud, very loud! But there's just something about having an after market exhaust on that I don't like. I'm just not the screaming racer type!
I was going to put the stock one back on but decided I should probably just give it another day to see how I feel. The exhaust itself is handmade in Britain by a company called Pipewerx, they have a very good reputation for quality and it shows. A cool feature they have is a baffle that's bolted on at the end, it can be removed with an allen key whenever you want, without having to take the exhaust off. It also weighs about half of what the stock can was. Anyway I'm not sure what to do with it, if I take it off tomorrow morning I might just sell it if anyone wants it, this oval model retails for £170. But I'll save all that for when I make an advert. Anywayz here are some photos! The baffle itself is a barrel with an X etched in the back, this slides down middle and is bolted on from the side. |

That exhaust looks really well made. Strange you don't like it! Why do you think the exhaust is more for a screaming racer? Is it because it makes the bike look and sound more aggressive and racey and this gives people a false image of you and your riding style?

Yeah I guess so, I don't really know to be honest, I had the same problem with a Motad Venom full system I put on what now is my sisters bike, it sounds amazing but it's just not for me :/
Anyway, I'm gonna finish my butty, head down the road, make a video of it going, remove it and clean it. I'll be sticking an advert up for it in the classified section when I come back, I've already got some paid actors to give testimonies! I'd be more than happy to post it to the USA, it would deffinately be unique over there. Although you'd have to pay for the postage costs, shouldn't be too much the thing is really light! I'll stick the video up in an hour or two, I promise you lucky people will get to see my terrific ACTIN SKILLZ!!! |

OMG!!! This video is taking so long to upload! AAARGH!!! It's only 15 minutes of HD!
There's an intro of myself at the beginning, I've always wanted to do a weekly vlog as I think I'm really good at talking absolute crap for 10 minutes at a time! Might grab a Go-Pro and get it done! Oh and I took the exhaust off, it's all cleaned up sitting in it's box ready to sell. |

It's because of where I live, I left it overnight to upload and it's only at 56%! It is definitely speeding up though... EEEK! XD I think my computer went to sleep and so paused it!
Oh and I only just remembered this when I was replying to a PM. I mentioned that it didn't change performance, however I did do a top speed run with the baffle in when I first put it on and I got 107mph, so it is more, but not by much! Of course maybe it was the rain or something making it faster, it is only like 2mph more! lol |

I don't think there's anyone left on the Internet with the attention span to watch a 15 minute video of you describing the exahust. The web generally prefers things like 7 second sound clips.

Louder is not automatically better. Why don't more people seem to understand this? Looks like you've reached that conclusion the expensive way.
It's exactly why I went with the AreaP QuietCore. Deep and throaty without being howling loud. Nice looking exhaust for the right rider! Best of luck selling it. |

Maybe you could compress the video more before uploading it? You'd loose quality, but you'd save time. I recommend: http://www.mirovideoconverter.com/
If you use that app, in the drop down menu select: Formats -> MP4 Video That should give you a compressed video compatible with youtube. |
