Sam Lowes has ended the final day of testing for the Moto2 class on top of the pile, the Gresini rider edging out Italian Lorenzo Baldassari by just under a tenth of a second. Lowes was not just fast over a single lap, he also put in a very impressive stint of laps during a half-distance race simulation. Overall, Lowes showed outstanding pace, lapping consistently in the 1'42s.

Forward Racing's Lorenzo Baldassari took second spot, but could not match the consistency of pace shown by Lowes. Alex Rins ended the day in third, also putting in some impressive long stints, clearly ready for the 2016 season. Takaaki Nakagami finished the final day in fourth, three tenths behind Lowes, and a tenth ahead of the two German riders, Jonas Folger and Sandro Cortese.

Lowes' time was fast, but not quick enough to beat Axel Pons' time from Thursday, and so the AGR rider leaves the test as quickest overall. Lowes is second, Baldassari third and Rins fourth overall. Tom Luthi grabbed fifth spot overall, finishing ahead of Domi Aegerter.

Reigning Moto2 champion Johann Zarco had a tough test, struggling with set up on new tires. He leaves the test as fourteenth overall, two places behind current Moto3 champion and Moto2 returnee Danny Kent.
