tune up

i just did a tune up on my bike i have a 2001 250 ninja

i bought 2 quarts of oil is that enough



and
the parts employee said the spark plugs are already gap is that true let me know

thanks for response, is there anything else in a tune up forgot i also drained the carb floters

I always double check the gap on plugs. Although plugs come pre-gapped, if they have been hit on the end the gap could be changed.

Gotta know what the gap is..... Of course you could have bought the Iridiums, cant just stick the gapper in there.

Always a good time to give the bike an over-all check up.

Brake pads/rotors/hoses
Brake fluid - level, hows it look. If it looks dark it most likely old and good flush and replace won't hurt.
Tires - nicks, cuts, wear pattern, sidewall cracking
Overall fluid leaks - shouldn't be any and indicates potential problems
Cables - easy to move, smooth return, no hang ups, frays at the pivot points

Good way to get to know your ride.

i just had a shop do a tuneup for me and the reciept shows that they put in ngk cr7 s instead of cr8 s is there much of a difference between the 2? i read that the 7s are for colder temps, its in the 80s here
