Aftermarket Exhausts for the '08 Ninja 250

Hey everyone,
Someone on the ninja250forum.com posted a list of all the available exhausts for the '08. I then went through and found videos for each one. I thought some of you in the market for a new exhaust might find it useful.

Here's the link:http://ridingjezebel.com/2011/06/28/...008-ninja-250/

I didn't want to post the info here since there's a heck of a lot of videos!

Thanks guys, hope it helps. I love my two bros but I wish I had thought about it more before buying.. The danmoto is so cheap and sounds great!

Jezebel, weren't you in a Stones' song. I like the K-Factory sound best (I'm not sure of the performance stats though), besides that video has slicks on the bike so it must be the best.

I'm a Yosh guy ( I have one on my 250x4). The performance and sound works well on my bike.

Good info, was really debating this stuff for my new bike
In the meantime, I am quite liking the stock sound w/ the snorkel removed
(and no I did not shim, I will if I notice any 'lean/rich conditions' which are now printed and taped to tank ) but so far seems to run great and free!

Lol - My name isn't Jezebel, my bike's name is Jezebel - it suits her. In history Jezebel was a powerful, sexual woman - I thought it suited her, she's got sexy curves, people look when she goes by, and she could destroy anyone who rides her if they aren't careful

I imagine that'll come in handy for a lot of people. Very cool

If you'd like to add a little more information about the actual volume levels, before I ordered my Leo Vince full system I emailed their customer service to inquire about decibel ratings so I could get an idea of how loud it would actually be. This is what they told me:

Quote:
OK, I have some dB ratings. But they do not include the extra quiet sound insert, only open and with the quiet insert.

Stock exhaust: 84.5 @ 5500 rpm
Leovince slip on with dB killer 97 @ 5500 rpm
Leovince slip on open 100 @ 5500 rpm
Leovince full system with dB killer 98 @ 5500 rpm
Leovince full system open 100 @ 5500 rpm

I imagine with the really quiet insert the levels will drop but it might give up some peak power. Either way, I don’t think you would have too much trouble with sound with the inserts installed. The ironic part is that you lose some midrange when you run this pipe with no insert, they actually run best with the sound insert in.
And I know Area P lists their decibel ratings at:

Standard Muffler (12" long, 2.0" core)
Idle: 90 dbA
5000 rpms: 105 dbA

Long Quiet Muffler (18" long, 1.75" core)
Idle: 83 dbA
5000 rpms: 95 dbA

AreaP Race System - 18" muffler,Turn Down Exit Tip
Idle: 83 dbA
5000 rpms: 98 dbA

Unfortunately, I don't know about the other brands, but it might be useful information for those who are also worried about getting the loudest or quietest exhaust, if you'd like to add any side notes. Cool either way, but just thought I'd throw that out there

This is awesome!

I'll add it to the post - hopefully others will help me populate the rest!

I've heard nothing but good things about the Danmoto - the price is unreal! I'm lucky I got my twobros for 170 or I'd prob have gone that route.

I'm debating swapping it out for something a little less 'short and stubby' and less loud.. the two bros has no heat shield
