Ahhh damnit! I wanna go but I've gotta fix my bike first. Gotta finish some repairs on the fairings and reroute the fuel lines. If I get it done in time, I'll let you know.

If someone gonna be like the organizer....I dont know how to check but the top has been closed a few weekends just because it was too crowded. Dont know if they plan the closing or just do it ? IF BM is the destination...it can be a PITA but....yes....we have backroads in the area that are as fun as Perk Mem'l. And I'll have them keep Storm King open....fer Panda.

If the "top" is referring to route 6/202 that goes from the top of bear mtn to the Haverstraw area. It's closed for road work. Aka the goat trail. Aka my regular route to work that will be closed up until next month BUT its only closed from Monday til Friday and open Saturday and Sunday so GAME ON and I hope I can be there if only for a little run with you jokers!!

I was there last week and they let you get all the way up to Perkins Drive then tell you to turn around....traffic was backed up over bridge.
Although.....in the genral area....Harriman Park has much nicer roads and i have a new mini loop north of 301/9....there's a lot of roads up there perfectly suited to the ninjette.

Tom....not 3 minutes after you guys went over the bridge 6 model-esque ( lingerie model-esque) women showed up on sportbikes. You had to see them going down 9....you could NOT miss this crew....all in those string tee shirts...I didnt notice if they were wearing gear but i guess they took it off if they were.
Nothing happened on way home did it ?

@eddiekay darn, you should have snapped a quickie photo. nothing interesting happened, benny cleaned the whole engine area when we got back, i put some sealant on where i thought it was leaking, guess he'll find out if it worked or not

to everyone else, eddie showed me a great road, 218 going up from bear mountain, it goes along the hudson and it a good 45mph road and goes up to bear mountain.

speaking of which, anyone have a route idea or is this more of a meetup?

Depending on where you are and who is coming you may be able to meet up with @adouglas? From CT it's probably easiest to go to ML3 directly?

Bigballsofpaint is coming in from the northeast, so all three meeting locations mean going beyond the ride route and then backtracking.

Just as an FYI, a lot of tristate riders meet at the big traffic circle on the eastern side of the river in Cortlandt Manor, a couple of miles south of the Bear Mountain bridge where US9 and US6 meet. Big service station there. Map below. But that would just confuse things, so never mind this time around.

Jay, unless you have a burning desire to ride all the way down to NYC just so you can join up with the crew, the only meeting location that makes sense is #3.

Here's that traffic circle meetup. Reasonably convenient for both NYC/LI folks and those of us from CT. But as noted, best not confuse things for this ride:

Andrew, ya im not going to head toward the city. Im going to go down 7 and then take 55 over into poughkeepsie NY and then just take 9w all the way down to location 3. This way ill avoid the highway, tolls, and get to see some new roads along the way.

Probability is increasing. Boss gave me Friday off and my bandmates invited me over for a pool party Saturday afternoon in Croton.

That means I get to see our singer in a bathing suit.

Eddie, you're not invited.

Of those who are coming, who's meeting at location 2?

My route to Willow Grove takes me across the Tappan Zee. I can wait on the side of the road just before the bridge for those coming up 87.

Fallback is to take off from there at 9:10 and see you all at the school.

I'll be on a blue/white GSX-R, neon yellow helmet, black/red leathers.

Update on me, I still have that leak, it's not as bad as it was, and it's getting on my tire again, so I'm out of this group run this time
