Where is this spring from?

Hey all, I've been working on getting my Ninja back up and running after re-plumbing the fuel injection system, and this spring seemed to fall out of nowhere and I can't for the life of me find out where it's supposed to go.

My EFI kit is the older style Ecotrons one specifically for the Ninja 250.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, that's a Jesus spring.

You know, the spring lurking inside every mechanical device that, when said device is disassembled, goes flying across the room and makes you say "Jesus!"

Closely related to the Dammit screw... the ever-present tiny screw that once removed, despite the greatest care, inevitably falls into an inaccessible recess within the mechanism.

Sorry, that's all I've got. I don't recognize that spring. Almost looks like an exhaust system spring, but not beefy enough and the wrong shape.

I checked for the brake switch spring, and it's still there. I thought it was off the fuel injection system somehow (probably from the throttle bodies), but none of those pictures show it.

It may have just been sitting there when someone left it in the bike, who knows? I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to go careening off the road or something. Thanks, all.

Every drum-brake system. I wear eye protection for those now.

I carry around pocket full of old parts, nuts, bolts, springs, switches. Then I toss under people's bikes to mess with them...

I know a guy who claims to have dumped several ounces of oil under a coworker's Harley. He said the guy glanced down, got on the bike, and rode off like nothing was unusual. I wasn't there to verify the story though.

Oh, that's good.

Here's an evil one I thought up a long time ago but have never been enough of a dick to actually try... would be useful for karmic retribution for true a-hole drivers (never do this to a motorcycle).

Get a BB or tiny pebble. Remove the valve cap on one of the victim's tires. Put BB/pebble in cap, reinstall cap so there's a slow leak. Should be just fast enough that the tire will be flat when they return to their car.

The beauty of this is that it doesn't actually cause any damage, just inconvenience.

If you want to be really nasty, do it to more than one wheel.

Dammit, I knew I should've been working on it with the garage door closed...

If you just loosen the valve core just enough for it to leak, there won't be any evidence that someone purposely caused the problem.

AHahhaHAhahahhah.... just par for course, eh?

One time at university, I poured in quart of oil into car at dusk and most of it went onto ground. Then my roommate pulled into parking-spot after I left. In morning, she came out and screamed! She thought she blew engine! ahahhah ahahhaha!!!!
