Hello from Oregon.

Thinking of buying a 250r for my first bike. From what I'm reading on these forums, this will be a great bike to start out on. Although I'm open to any input at this point!

Thanks Kim! I've taken a weekend safety course before I got my endorsement. It was well worth it. To be honest, I'll need to take a refresher course 'cause it's been a couple of years.

That's hilarious. This is, what's commonly known in some circles, as a small world.

If you are just starting out I hear that Gold Wings come with training wheels. I think you have to be in your Golden years and hard of hearing (the radios play very load for some reason) but it's a thought. They have reverse also. I think the dealers throw in a vest with tons of pins attached also.

CC man you are too funny. How about a pair of helmet mounted microphones with the big foam on them to reduce wind sound. And a lovely pair of sky blue stretch pants for the misses on the back.

Ok. Guess I'm off to the Goldwing forums. Do I have to wear sans-belt polyester pants and white shoes too?

Welcome!

I'm another one of those weirdos from Portland, don't let the rain (or the hippies) deter you from a good ride!

Cheers
