06 ninja 250 won't start

Hello fellas.

I recently bought my first nijette and my experience has been awesome well until today.

Story:
I've been riding my little scooter for 3 days with no issues besides aesthetically.
well today i ran into a significant snag (i hope not)
I was out cruising and next thing you know the bike bogs down and eventually dies, it happened in front of a gas station so i pulled in and turned the petcock to reserve. I tried starting it with no success. So thinking that i ran out of gas i Immediately put some gas in and tired starting it ....still a no go. I eventually tried starting it with the choke on ( warm engine) and it fired up for a few seconds a died again. I tried repeating the process till my battery died. Thinking i flooded the engine, I ended up having to do the dreaded "push my bike home" for 3 miles.

Drained from my endeavors, i got home took the battery out and charged it. 2 hours later with the battery charger saying full charge. I decided to put it back in and start it to no avail.

Can anyone experienced this?
Some help would be awesome

Thanks
Randy

Two things that can stall the ninja like that. No fuel, no spark. If you were able to start it on the choke for just few seconds, it sounds like fuel. Just to make sure, spray some starting fluid in the air intake and see if it fires up for a second. If it does, it's the carbs that are gummed up.Even though the bike ran fine for few days, if it was sitting around without fuel treatment in the gas, the sludge will eventually make it's way to the jets and stop you cold.

The petcock needs vacuum to flow. Apply a vacuum to the other port and that should allow the fuel to flow. Other way is to switch the petcock to prime, If you have a prime feature on yours. That should bypass the vacuum block. If nothing works then there might be a clog in your tank. Try using compressed air to clear the line.

By any chance when you clean the plugs, you test if they spark when crank it?

How do they look/color? Check the gap?
