First ride!!!

So I finally got er. , about sums it up. Shop I bought it from is bout 45 min from home with a 80km/h highways being the main route. So I took city for a bit and then some backroads home. Nearly hit the hundred km mark(bout 60 miles) before I parked it tonight. My big plan for the break in period went out the window. Two different wrenches and the salesman told me to just ride it, that I could take it to redline but don;t sit on it. So I did just that, was climbing to 9,10,11k before shitfting and put it to the redline once or twice. Going to pick up an oil filter and some oil and do the first change as its pretty murky already. The one thing that stood out was how much of a sail I am, couple times i tucked in and when I sat up, the speed drop was dramatic(6'2). Bike really likes the upper rpms from what I can tell, say maybe 7-8k and up. Could really feel it pull, I'm prolly 220 all geared up. Oh and did lots of engine breaking, pretty much every chance I had. Rearset adjusters will be ordered shortly tho as its a bit tight, maybe even some clipons. Was a bit nervous at first as it was rush hour traffic all around when I finally left the shop, but 10- 15 min later I was feelin good. Stopped at a friends for a 2 hrs for a heat cycle break and then went back out for a bit. Still only have my m1 which has restrictions on it like, no riding a half hour before sunset soo had to call it of earlier than I woulda liked but, meh. Thems the rules. After riding for a bit I'm really glad I didn't get a 600 to start out with, this bike is great for city driving, and felt fine up on the highway, got up to about 120 km/h-maybe 80mph???. But super happy, first day it rains the fender kit is goin on along with the two bros slip on, and a gorilla 7017 alarm. HOOKED

Yea!!!! I took my first MSF class last night and tomorrow is my first "on the bike" day. I am very, very hopeful that we have finally found a bike and plan to go look at it tomorrow. If all goes well with the title, it could be home by the middle of the week... Have fun and be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

, well its been two weeks and i've crossed the 1500km mark a couple days ago. Taking it up tonight to drop if off for its first service, in the rain but atleast I'll have it for the weekend. So after riding for two weeks, I think the bike is awesome. Couple probs, one is i've had it drop out of gear a couple times when i'm really given er. I'm getting about 20-25 km a liter depending on how im riding, and im happy with that being a bigger guy-6'3 215lbs. Got a problem with the crossmember brace where the seatcowl or seat locks into tho, looks like the jig was outa sorts when it was manufactured. Sits high on the drive side by like a quarter inch, never noticed it with the seat but as soon as I put the seat cowl on it was clearly visible and a major eyesore. Became a problem when on a ride at highway speeds with it being very warm the cowl rear pin came out and it was flapping around, lost my preload adjust wrench as a result as i've installed a gorilla 7017 alarm where the tool kit was and had the wrench sitting in their not fastened down and it came out, hopin the shop will hook me up. The shops taking a look at it when i bring it in, gonna figure out what to do from there. Was talk of ordering a new sub frame? I think it'd be fine if the just re did the weld with the cross member sitting flush on the frame, but its their call. Done a couple long rides on it and think i'll be ordering up the cycle control rearset adjusters soon(my last mod, too), just to give me some more leg room. Am already craving the 6r but will finish out the summer on the ninjette.
