Conclusion about larger cc bikes and Ninja250's
Today on my way to work on my 250 i decided that the little ninja250 must be the envy of all the larger cc bikes.
Why else would they feel the need to show off and impress us at every given chance? |

Only dis to my bike I ever had was from a Harley guy. His niece bought a 250 and he rode it and told her never to take it on the freeway because it would be unsafe. I then pointed my 250 out to him in the parking lot an told him I commute 30 miles to work at 85-90mph on the freeway (average flow of traffic, maybe a little faster ). He asked me how it was even possible on that bike and I told him its simple, you just don't know how to ride it.
And that is where this quote comes from

Because most Hardley Ableson riders are big, crying, fat, blubbering vaginas who don't know their ass from their elbow.

I have a guy here at my work that bought a ZX14, he asks me the other day in a room full of people, "hey why do you wear all that gear while riding a girls bike?"
I looked at him and said, well lets see now, you ride to work in a t-shirt and shorts and flip-flops and no helmet on a ZX14. Not only that, but you won't ride if its too hot or if its too cold. We live in AZ, we have roughly 350 days of great riding weather and I have 16,000 miles on my Ninja, you maybe have 500. Shall we continue with who is riding a girls bike? The room broke out into laughter and he hasnt asked me that question since!

You have to be secure in your manhood to ride a 250.
I could care less what some jerk on a bigger thinks. I love my lil ninjette. |

I never could figure out why there's so much contention between riders and what they ride. I love most anything on 2 wheels. The guys I ride with are all open to all kinds of bikes. We may prefer one or the other, but always feel a camaraderie towards other bike riders.

I commute 90 miles a day for work on highway and I'll end up riding with gsxrs and zx6's all the time. Had a zx10 the other day ride with me on the freeway for about 15 miles. No around here has made a fuss yet.
Granted I do tend to shy away from the extended swing arm, shorts, tshirt guys with a girl on the back in a bikini that flock to hooters every Wednesday night.. But those are the exact same people I tend to try and find when in my car as something about beating ss's with 4 wheels is gratifying. |

They're trying to show us why buying a 250cc bike is pathetic compared to starting off on a 600cc+ that can do 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds, top out at over 160 mph, and take a person from alive to dead in under 2 seconds flat.
No, I'm not saying all riders who started on bigger displacement bikes are idiots. Only most. |

I also don't understand why people with a bigger bike look down on a smaller bike and vice versa. But it is also annoying and getting old having people, especially on here, talk about how having a big bike will surely get you killed or is so impractical, yet they haven't ever ridden one or had limited seat time on one. I understand telling a new rider that a bigger bike is a mistake and they should be informed, but when someone who has experience gets a bigger bike people still act like they'll crash is right away and kill themselves. Apparently once you get on a bike besides a 250 you forget everything you know and go full on stupid and crash. Just sayin'. |

I never have a problem with people. Most can't believe it is a 250 but all think it is cool. I rode a Rebel 250 on the highway one weekend. It was a nice bike. I definitely would recommend it to a new rider. But I think I understand how someone that rode one of those and never rode a Ninja250 would say 250s are not safe on the highway.

There is nothing that earns you more respect than taking a 250 in a group ride with 600/1000 bikers and keeping up with them all the time through the twisties / straights.. (happened to me last ride - yeah those guys drove like maniacs. but a 250 could keep up with them just fine)..

To tell the truth, I think a lot of us are a bit oversensitive about what others think of our ride. I stopped giving a rat's a$$ what other people think of me a long time ago. That's a very different thing from flippin' them the bird or getting snarky. It's about shrugging and going about my business. I got no time for posers or idiots with something to prove. |

Very good perspective to have. If I had a bike which I really want, I would respect everyone and everything they rode.

i was not implying that there was anything wrong with other bikes and or riders, just a joke that they feel the need to REV, accelerate quickly and show how fast they are to us ninja250 riders, again be cause they envy us.
