Slippery grips glue???

I got new grips for my bike today progrip blue (of course) when I changed them out I used the method we used on our dirtbikes and bicycles, soap and water. well after letting them dry for quite some time the still are a bit slippery on the bars not so much to be dangerous but just want to turn. I noticed there was glue on the stock grips and was wondering what kind of glue I should use on my new ones?

use clear spray paint, helps with installation and acts like glue when dry (got this from kkim)

if the grips move now, it will get worse in the rain.

remove the grips, clean up the area of all dirt and grease and the grips of any soap traces.... absolutely clean and dry. spray the inside of grips with some clear lacquer, then slide the grips onto the bars while the paint is still wet and slippery. position to where you want them, then let the paint dry. try not to make a mess with the lacquer.

They do sell grip glue, but I've found it works too well and when you try to remove the grips, you need to cut the grips off or end up tearing them.

on the dirt bikes, I safety wire the grips to the bars along with this paint method of installation.

Try 99% alcohol. I have progrips on mine and swished a bit of alcohol in them before sliding them into place on the bars. They went on easy and after waiting for them to try overnight they are tight as a drum. Damn grippy too.

Hairspray works well, and they will still come off later if you need too.

if you got spray adhesive from a fabric store, that works too, but depending on what you get, it can get a little gooey when its hot outside
